Welcome to a new Tilda season We are very excited to tell you that Tilda is transforming into a sewing and haberdashery brand this season. Fabric and sewing are closest to our hearts here at the Tilda studio, and this change makes it possible for us to present some exciting new products.

The biggest new products this season are pre-sewn doll bodies. We are starting with a fox and a hare and hope to continue with more dolls and animals next year. Many of our customers are already experts at sewing Tilda dolls and animals, but pre-sewn bodies are perfect for those who find doll-sewing a bit daunting, or for young people just learning to sew. We hope you will have fun making clothes and accessories. The dolls are approved for children of all ages, making them perfect gifts for young friends.

You will find patterns for clothes among the new products, and we will post ideas for accessories at www.tildasworld.com.

We are also very excited to present paper piece appliques. Pre-cut paper shapes for appliques make it easy to add the perfect appliques to any project, and you can combine them in many different ways to make the most beautiful folklore-inspired flower motifs. We are also adding five new soft and beautiful colours to the “Sewing by hand� thread range. This thread is a must for fine applique and paper piecing projects, and looks beautiful with wooden spools.

Be sure to check out the patchwork rabbit and squirrel kits if you like smaller patchwork projects or if you are just learning the patchwork technique. We hope you appreciate the new products this season and wish you a creative autumn and winter!

Cabbage Rose is a playful series inspired by colourful characters like 1950s comedian Lucille Ball and Astrid Lindgren’s Pippi Longstocking. Designs with rabbits and flowers in soft orange, bluegreen, red and pink give the series a sweet and colourful feel – perfect for pleasant patchwork quilts combined with folklore appliqués.

Cabbage Rose is an homage to “everyday roses” who inspire and add colour to life with their creativity and joie de vivre.

The Memory Lane series is inspired by the 1920s, with its innovative fashion and colours, jazz, the Charleston and Art Deco. The patterns comprise both classic and more modern floral designs. Colours such as bluish-black, olive green and off-white with hints of pink and turquoise result in a beautiful, interesting combination for a style that is both classic and perfect for today.

The series is excellent for both patchwork quilts and formal bags.

The cool shade of aqua of a refreshing spring lake surrounded by light green budding trees inspired the colours of the Spring Lake collection. The patterns were inspired by a closet full of sweet, retro summer dresses in which different designs seem to belong together because the owner loves a particular colour scheme.
