Summer has brought abundant rain and tranquil days to TwinEagles, creating the perfect environment for project work. Here is an update on some of the projects your Membership team has been working on:
If you haven't explored the TwinEagles University (TEU) page on our website, now is the perfect time! Located under the Resources menu on the private Member side of the TwinEagles website, the TEU page offers a variety of how-to tutorials in both written and video formats. These resources have been recently updated thanks to our Club Concierge, Julie Perez. We plan to expand these tutorials further as we continue to grow
Thank you to everyone who has updated their TE website profile and added new photos following our recent Club communication. If you haven't done so yet, please take a moment to check your profile and add a photo if it is still missing
We are excited to report that the Member Name Tag project has made significant progress this summer, with over 700 responses to our initial survey! These name tags have been engraved and organized, and we are ready to proceed with the next round. We will send a reminder email to Members who have not yet submitted their preferences for first name, last name, and hometown city/state We encourage your participation Thank you!

Requests can be made seven days in advance of a reciprocal tee time. (Please do not submit a request any earlier than seven days out; it will be sent back for resubmission closer to the date.)
Confirmation of your booking is based on the reciprocal Club's policy (as noted in the reciprocal Club list HERE. Most tee time request policies are two to three days out.
The challenges of playing golf in South Florida during the summer months continue as would normally be expected. Hot and humid with (typically) afternoon rain and thunderstorms. However, if playable, we continue to have plenty of opportunities. Reciprocals are popular, as always. They’re a great chance for our Members to enjoy other local clubs.
There are weekly play days for both the Ladies and the Men, with alternating weeks of “away” days, and we will be hosting an N4 event on Saturday, August 3.
Finally, we’re considering Saturday, September 21, as a make-up date for the Summer Member-Member we had originally planned for June 8. More will be sent out in the coming weeks.
As always, your Professional and Golf staff is always here to help. Please let us know how we can assist you in any way.

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Gabe Gallo as the new Director of Golf Course & Grounds Maintenance at The TwinEagles Club!
After an extensive and thorough search, Gabe's expertise, dedication, and commitment to excellence make him the perfect fit for TwinEagles. Gabe joins us most recently from Fiddlesticks Country Club, where he has served as the Director of Agronomy for the past five years. Originally from Gainesville, Florida, Gabe has spent the majority of his career in Southwest Florida, gaining a deep understanding of the region's unique landscape.
Gabe brings a wealth of experience leading 36-hole facilities. He places a strong emphasis on TEAM building and development, a key factor in advancing our overall golf experience One of the aspects that drew Gabe to TwinEagles is our commitment to Audubon International and dedication to preserving the wildlife that calls our golf courses home. Gabe is passionate about environmental stewardship and is excited to maintain the Club’s Audubon certification.
Gabe is supported by his wife, Kathleen, their two daughters, Kaylee and Kara, and their beloved 6-year-old dog, Ruby, the 2022 GCSAA Golf Course Dog of the Year The Gallo Family is excited to begin this new chapter in their lives.
While we do not have an official start date for Mr. Gallo yet, we expect to see him around the Club, making introductions to his new TEAM as early as this week. We will keep the Membership informed about his official start date.
We are excited about Gabe’s arrival and the improvements that will be made to the golf experience under his leadership. Please join me in welcoming Gabe Gallo to The TwinEagles Family!

Stay tuned for announcements on how you can get involved!
Two technical considerations for every putt:
Direction of putt
Controlled by the path of the stroke and the condition of the putter face (closed, square or open)
Distance of putt
Controlled by the length of stroke and pace of stroke
Pre-putt routine:
Read green
Pick a very precise target
Aim putter face at target
Set your body lines parallel to the target line
Have multiple looks at the target to get the feel of the putt’s distance
Stroke the putt
Guidelines for reading greens: Begin assessment as you approach the green complex
Find high and low spots for the area of the green you will be putting on
Determine the overall tilt of the green
Determine the direction of the grain (blades of grass grow towards the setting sun and large bodies of water)
As we approach hurricane season, it’s crucial for all TwinEagles members to take proactive steps to ensure the safety and preparedness of our community. Here are some essential tips to help you and your family get ready for the upcoming months:
Create a Hurricane Plan
Emergency Contacts: Compile a list of important contacts, including family members, neighbors, and local emergency services.
Evacuation Route: Familiarize yourself with the designated evacuation routes and shelters in our area.
Communication Plan: Establish how you will communicate with family members if you become separated.
Prepare an Emergency Kit
Basic Supplies: Include water (one gallon per person per day for at least three days), nonperishable food, a flashlight, batteries, a first-aid kit, and essential medications
Important Documents: Keep copies of important documents such as insurance policies, identification, and medical records in a waterproof container.
Clothing and Bedding: Pack extra clothing, blankets, and sleeping bags for each family member
Windows and Doors: Install storm shutters or board up windows with plywood. Ensure doors are securely fastened.
Outdoor Items: Bring in outdoor furniture, decorations, and any items that could become projectiles in high winds.
Roof and Gutters: Inspect and reinforce your roof, clear gutters of debris, and trim overhanging branches.
Weather Updates: Monitor local news and weather reports for the latest information on approaching storms.
Community Alerts: Sign up for community alerts and notifications to stay informed about emergency instructions from TwinEagles management and local authorities.
Insurance: Review your homeowner’s insurance policy to ensure you have adequate coverage for hurricane-related damages.
Photographic Inventory: Document your belongings with photos or videos for insurance purposes in case of damage or loss
Medications: Ensure you have an adequate supply of prescription medications.
Pet Safety: Make a plan for your pets, including food, water, and any necessary medications.
Local Orders: Follow evacuation orders issued by local authorities promptly.
Safe Destination: Plan where you will go if you need to evacuate, whether it’s a friend’s home, a hotel, or a designated shelter
Check on Neighbors: Reach out to neighbors, especially the elderly or those with special needs, to ensure they have a hurricane plan in place.
Volunteer: Consider volunteering to help with community preparations and recovery efforts.

I'm thrilled to update you on the progress of our court construction project. The construction team is nearing completion of the asphalt portion, and soon we'll begin the crucial curing process. This step is essential for preparing the courts for the application of acrylics and paint, ensuring top-notch playing surfaces for everyone to enjoy.
While the asphalt is curing, we'll be starting on several exciting enhancements:
Fence Installation: Our TEAM will be setting up new fencing to provide safety and enhance the aesthetics of the courts. Perimeter Electrical Work: We're working to ensure optimal lighting and power across all areas.
Exterior Detailing: We'll be adding finishing touches around the curbing in both the north and south viewing areas to create an inviting and polished look.
We're making great strides, and I can't wait for you to see the results. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to transform our facilities!
Thank you for your patience and support. We look forward to welcoming you back to enjoy these fantastic new courts soon!

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to share some highlights and updates from our Human Resources department.
We recently celebrated the end of the season with a memorable Employee Appreciation Bowling Event. It was a fun-filled day where our team members had the chance to unwind, enjoy each other’s company, and create lasting memories.
Additionally, we recently hosted our TE Cares School Supply Drive. This initiative was a heartwarming success, as we delivered “School Supply TE Cares Bags” to our TwinEagles TEAM members who have children in school from kindergarten through 12th grade. It was truly rewarding to see the smiles on their faces and know that we are supporting our TwinEagles family in meaningful ways!
In the Human Resources department, our main focus now is on finalizing the H2B process for our upcoming winter season. We are diligently working with the Food & Beverage team to ensure we bring in the best talent possible to continue providing you with exceptional service and experiences.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement with our community. We look forward to another successful season ahead!
Celebrating 1, 5, & 10+ years of Employment at TwinEagles!
Angel Rico, an Outside Golf Operations Shift Lead, plays an integral role in the daily operations of the TwinEagles Club. Originally from Fresno, California, Angel proudly embraces his Mexican heritage, with roots tracing back to Michoacán through his father and Colima through his mother.
A true outdoorsy type, Angel spends his free time partaking in activities such as kayaking and off-roading. His active lifestyle extends to the hours he puts in at the gym, where he focuses on weight lifting and strength training. Always on the lookout for new culinary experiences, Angel considers himself a self-proclaimed foodie. When he’s not scouting the latest and trendiest dining spot, Angel dedicates his time off to enjoying his family tradition of gathering on Sundays for some Carne Asada.
Angel first began working at TwinEagles in 2017 as an Outside Golf Operations Attendant. After two years in his role, he temporarily relocated to Washington at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic to spend time with his mother.
Fed up with Washington’s colder climate, Angel soon returned to the Sunshine State. He resumed his tenure at TwinEagles in 2021, bringing with him an infectiously positive attitude and a fierce dedication to providing exceptional service.
In his current position, Angel aids in preparing the golfing facilities for the full day of play ahead, ensuring that every Member and guest receive topnotch hospitality. His diverse background and motivated mindset contribute significantly to the club’s vibrant atmosphere and high standards of service.
