My desire to create environments began when I started painting in college and furthered when I enlarged my canvas and began painting murals. I am captured by the ways in which we can transform space to aid in the way people feel and engage. Having the ability to spark curiosity and excitement in others, and co-creating with a multitude of creative people is something that I look forward to everyday.

The Juke Joint was created to immerse visitors into an environment where Mississippi musicians both learned and drew inspirations from. The bar interactive, told from a bartenders perspective, delves deep into the seedy stories from musicians past, while exploring their inspirations and experiences.

An intimate immersive environment sets the stage to bring Mississippi authors imaginations and words to life. Upon entering the space visitors are surrounded by authors voices punctuated by a single desk brought to life through the use of projection mapping. Imagery spills out of the typewriter and onto the authors desk bringing to life authors stories of inspiration and challenge.

02 Illustration
In second grade my dream was to illustrate children’s books. My best friend and I were going to go in it together, she would write and I would illustrate. While I never became a children’s book illustrator, I still retained a bit of my childhood dream and was able to create a small business creating illustrations for clients such as Saks, Christie’s, Rent the Runways Jennifer Hyman, and Swell Press.

03 Painting
I found painting and drawing at a very young age, however, it wasn’t until later in life that it became my compass. I was your typical directionless kid: I wasn’t a great student, I struggled a lot, school was awful. Because of this, my parents pushed me into a post graduate year where I found an art teacher that saw my true potential. I learned more about myself in one year than all four years of public highschool. I consider myself extremely lucky; painting became the catalyst to my career in design.
