We have been at the forefront of efforts to improve the lives of women and girls in Hong Kong since our founding in 2004. This period of change has brought much needed visibility to existing inequalities and hidden issues that women and girls have been grappling with for decades: disproportionate caregiving responsibilities, mental health, violence and biases. Together, we have the power to transform Hong Kong into a leader on gender equality. GIRLS GO TECH PROGRAMME
Inspires underprivileged girls to view STEM subjects and careers as viable options. GGT includes an online platform alongside real-life tech-related activities to further develop their skills, knowledge, and interest in coding and STEM-related initiatives.
DIGITAL LITERACY PROGRAMME
Empowers underprivileged parents by equipping them with fundamental digital literacy skills to support their daughters in reaching their full potential in an increasingly technology-driven world, as well as increase their competitiveness in the workforce.
TEACH FOR GOOD
Supports the learning needs of unprivileged upper primary and secondary school students at risk of falling behind academically. Our T.E.E.N. Programme ‘graduates’ offer individual online tutoring support, which provides them with a helpful source of financial support and the opportunity to give back to the community.
YOUNG ALLIES
Addresses harmful masculinity constructs in boys, debunks gender stereotypes, enhances their wellbeing, and helps them to become future allies of women and to take action against gender inequality.

In its 14th year, this year-long leadership programme includes one-on-one mentoring, peer-to-peer learning, group mentoring, inspirational talks, skills workshops, panels and networking events.
MALE ALLIES INITIATIVE
Business leaders who leverage their collective influence and personal engagement to advance gender equality, within their organisations and across the Hong Kong business community.
REVERSE MENTORING
Cross-industry reverse mentoring (between our Male Allies and Mentoring Programme alumni) enables male men-tees to challenge their perspectives and see things differently, whilst empowering female mentors to build relation-ships with senior leaders and collaborate on tackling systematic barriers in the workplace.
BOARDROOM SERIES FOR WOMEN LEADERS
Aims to address the underrepresentation of women in boards and senior management teams by building the pipeline of highly qualified women and connecting them to the right people and positions.

BEN QUINLAN CEO AND MANAGING PARTNER, QUINLAN & ASSOCIATES
Hailing from an Australian father and Chinese mother, Ben Quinlan is an award-winning stand-up comedian. Ben is a regular headliner at major comedy clubs around Asia, selling out shows in Singapore, China, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia, and Taiwan. He appeared on Comedy Central’s Stand-Up Asia! Season 2 and was the winner of the 2017 Hong Kong International Comedy Competition. Ben has also opened for a number of international comedians on their global tours, including Russell Howard, Kevin Bridges, and Doug Stanhope. He sold out his past sixteen 1-hour comedy specials in Hong Kong, with over 2,000 tickets sold. Aside from wearing his comedy hat, Ben is a multi-time TEDx speaker and a prominent keynote presenter in the financial services industry. He is regularly interviewed by leading news channels as the CEO of his own strategy consulting firm, Quinlan & Associates. He is the former Chairman of the FinTech Association of Hong Kong, Chair of the Innovation & Technology Committee at AustCham, an adjunct university professor, and sits on numerous advisory committees with various government, semi-government, and non-profit organisations, and is an advisory board member for various startups. Ben’s unique corporate and comedy background has been featured in a number of leading international media publications and podcasts, including the South China Morning Post, The Financial Times, TimeOut Magazine, XXIV, IFR Asia, and eFinancialCareers.

IRENE LAM HEAD OF SALES HONG KONG, BLOOMBERG LP
Irene is the Head of Sales for North Asia at Bloomberg, responsible for strengthening business partnerships and developing the company’s product strategies for the region. She has more than 15 years of experience supporting both the buy and sell-side clients in optimizing their operational efficiency. She has also facilitated clients with their firm-wide data transformation journeys and helped many firms to maintain their technology competitiveness. Prior to Bloomberg, she was with HSBC Broking Securities (Asia) Limited. Irene holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from University of Washington and she is currently pursuing her Masters degree at Johns Hopkins University.

FIONA NOTT CEO, THE WOMEN’S FOUNDATION
Fiona joined The Women’s Foundation as CEO in September 2017, combining her senior leadership experience with a passion for TWF’s mission to serve marginalised women and girls in Hong Kong. Her responsibilities include strategic planning, donor relations, overseeing grants and programmes, as well as government relations and community outreach. A former lawyer and Hang Seng Index company secretary, Fiona has lived in Hong Kong for over two decades having cultivated a career as a senior legal professional and adviser to a number of leading corporations in Hong Kong and around Asia including PCCW, AIA, AIG, Aviva, Chow Tai Fook Jewellery as well as SMEs, start ups and non-profit organisations. She is the Co-Founder of Room to Read’s Hong Kong Chapter and helped establish the Regional Programme office in New Delhi, India. She is Deputy Chair and a Director of the Australian Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong (AustCham), and was Founder and Chair of its Women in Business Network. In 2015, Fiona won the People’s Choice Award for the Advancement of Women in Business at the AustCham-Westpac Australia China Business Awards. In 2020, Fiona was selected as the winner of the “Outstanding Achievement” award for the Women in Business Law Awards Asia 2020 for her professional accomplishments as well as advocacy and influence. In 2021, she was recognised at the AmCham Women of Influence Awards 2021 as Non-Profit Leader of the Year for her work to advance gender equality. Fiona holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney and is a Fellow (FGIA FCG) of the Governance Institute of Australia and the Chartered Governance Institute, a member of the Law Society of New South Wales, Australia and a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and sits on its Hong Kong Committee. 20

SOPHIA HOTUNG WRITER AND ILLUSTRATOR
Sophia Hotung is a Eurasian writer and illustrator and the creator of The Hong Konger art collection. Originally a corporate techie, she pivoted to art in 2021 when her autoimmune diseases stopped her from working. Sophia’s pieces have been exhibited at Art Next Expo, the Affordable Art Fair, and the Digital Art Fair, where she co-created an NFT collection in support of The Women’s Foundation with Hanson Robotics’ Sophia the Robot. She is also the author of The Hong Konger Anthology and recently published her first children’s mystery novel The Heist of Hooded Light as K11 ARTUS’s Artist In Residence. As a disabled person, Sophia leverages her art and writing to advocate for and represent the intersectionality of gender and chronic illness, specifically at work. She also answers anonymous questions about work, art, and chronic illness on the NSFW (Not Shaped for Work) blog, which explores what it means to earn a living as a chronically ill entrepreneur. Sophia has autoimmune hepatitis, autoimmune cholangitis, celiac disease, ocular myasthenia gravis, osteoporosis, myalgic encephalomyelitis, and fibromyalgia.

PROFESSOR VIVIAN W.Q. LOU DIRECTOR OF SAU PO CENTRE ON AGEING, AND PROFESSOR AT DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WORK AND SOCIAL ADMINISTRATION, THE UNIVERSITY OF HONG KONG
Vivian is the Director of Sau Po Centre on Ageing, and Professor at Department of Social Work & Social Administration at The University of Hong Kong. Her research interests focus on family gerontology, in particular family caregiving for dementia, stroke, end-of-life older adults, and social adaptation and mental health of Chinese older adults and family caregivers. She has committed to cross-sector collaboration with community partners, social enterprises, and the market. Prof. Lou has been appointed as a member of Statistics Advisory Board, Community Investment and Inclusion Fund, Senior Police Call Central Advisory Board, and Elderly Academy Development Foundation of the HKSAR Government. She is a fellow of the Gerontological Society of America, and a Council member of Hong Kong Association of Gerontology and Consortium of Institutes of Family Limited (CIFA). Recently,Vivian was recognised as Healthy Ageing 50 leaders transforming the world to be a better place in which to grow older.

JOSHUA WANG HEAD OF CREDIT RISK (APAC), GOLDMAN SACHS
Joshua serves as head of Credit Risk in Asia Pacific (APAC) at Goldman Sachs. He is co-chair of the APAC Capital Committee and chief operating officer of the APAC Commitments Committee. Joshua also serves as a member of the APAC Reputational Risk Vetting Group and Asia Standards Review Group. He joined Goldman Sachs as an associate in 2005 in New York, moved to London in 2008 and to Hong Kong in 2012. Joshua was named managing director in 2017. Prior to joining the firm, Joshua worked at Barclays Investment Bank in New York. Joshua earned a BSc in Finance and International Business from the Stern School of Business at New York University.

IVY AU-YEUNG CHIEF EXECUTIVE, OCBC WING HANG BANK
Ivy is appointed Chief Executive of OCBC Wing Hang Bank Hong Kong with effect from 20 May 2021. She joined the bank in Dec 2019 as Deputy Chief Executive. Ivy is an international banker with more than 30 years of various positions in global banks in corporate and commercial banking covering relationship management, product management as well as credit and sales. Prior to joining OCBC Wing Hang, she was the Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Branch of an Australian bank. She holds an MBA degree from University of Sydney, Australia and a Bachelor of Social Science degree from University of Hong Kong and is a FCPA of CPA Australia.

CAROLINE SIN SCHOOL PRINCIPAL, KWUN TONG MARYKNOLL COLLEGE
Caroline Sin has worked in the field of secondary education for more than two decades. In her former capacity as the Careers Mistress of a co-ed school, she strived to link up life-planning initiatives with STEM components through career-related activities and introduced the concept of STEM to girls through The Women’s Foundation’s Girls Go Tech Programme. When later taking up the school’s Vice-Principal position, she endeavoured to synthesise students’ learning experiences on the school level, embracing such domains as individual student planning, life education, cocurricular activities, community services, design thinking, and STEM. Under her efforts, she implemented a series of enhancement and reform measures, leading to exceptional innovative works of STEM education within school-based student development programmes. In particular, she has rich experience in enforcing interdepartmental collaboration in enhancing students’ all-round development, and promoting STEM learning activities among girls. In her current post as the principal of a boys’ school, she has acquired a new lens in STEM education, and gained enriched acquaintance to the importance of generalising STEM learning across genders. Outside of school, she is the Vice-Chairperson of the Hong Kong Association of Careers Masters and Guidance Masters, and has been speaker and trainer in related teacher talks and professional training workshops.

CHINALI PATEL CONSUL – INTERNATIONAL ILLICIT FINANCE POLICY LEAD CHINA AND HONG KONG, BRITISH CONSULATE-GENERAL HONG KONG
Chinali commenced UK Diplomat role in Hong Kong in April 2019 leading on anti-money laundering policy, working closely with Hong Kong regulators, financial institutions and private sector. Chinali’s recent work has involved working in partnership with NGOs, financial sector and international partners in combatting illegal wildlife trafficking which has a substantial impact on biodiversity and broader eco system. Chinali has previously worked in UK Law Enforcement for 15 years with particular focus on tackling serious and organised crime including child sexual exploitation abuse online, modern slavery and human trafficking and organised immigration crime in collaboration with civil society groups, academia, international and industry partners. In her time in Hong Kong, Chinali has chaired the Diversity and Inclusion Committee at the British Consulate General wherein community engagement, driving progress through collaboration and embedding a diverse workforce have been the key areas of focus. Chinali is part of the Women in Business Committee at BritCham and has shared her learning and experience through numerous platforms including ReThink, Dive In Festival, podcasts, seminars and panel sessions and in doing so building a sense of community.

MARY MCHALE DIRECTOR STRATEGIC ACCOUNTS APAC, EQUINIX
Mary is the Director of Strategic Accounts for APAC, where she is focused on developing key partnerships and strengthening relationships across a core group of global strategic target accounts by leveraging the field sales and marketing teams. Her role covers Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Japan, Korea and Australia. She joined Equinix in 2017 as the Business Development Director for Digital Payments and Banking APAC. Mary has more than 25 years of experience in the banking and financial services sector including leadership roles at Citi, JP Morgan Chase and Bank of America. She received an MBA with honors in Marketing Management from DePaul University in Chicago, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Marquette University. Mary is a strong advocate for advancing women in leadership and along with serving as an APAC chapter lead for the Equinix Women’s Leadership Network, she currently volunteers her time as the Chair and for the American Chamber of Commerce Women of Influence committee in Hong Kong. She is an active alumni and fundraiser for The Women’s Foundation and also a member of the Advisory Board for the 30% Club in Hong Kong. Her weekends are spent hiking the hills of Hong Kong with her husband Ian and their dog Max or creating delicious homemade “Baked by Mary” breads and desserts to share.
