Gordy Bunch’s branch of TWFG Insurance won first place in the Best Insurance Agency or Agent category of Woodlands Online’s Best of The Woodlands survey. This year’s win marks TWFG Insurance’s 10th first-place win and 11th placement in this category.

The Best of The Woodlands contest is an annual online survey presented by Woodlands Online, a local publication, that takes place in February each year. Members of the local community vote for their favorite businesses from industries, including dining, entertainment, home improvement, and more. We’re so honored to be among the winners.

Tiffany Baker Director of Operations We are pleased to announce the promotion of Tiffany Baker to Director of Operations. Tiffany joined TWFG in May 2015 as an Operations Associate after leaving Liberty Mutual Insurance.

Before that, Tiffany was a Realtor for several years and worked in medical transcription for 15 years, ending her tenure as Assistant Regional Operations Manager in that industry. Earlier in her career, Tiffany worked as an Associate Manager at Red Lobster, where she learned the value of customer service and managing all aspects of a business.

Upon starting at TWFG, Tiffany worked the help desk, handled EZLynx set-ups, and processed carrier appointments.

Over the last seven years, she’s become well-known to our agents and peers as a positive leader with a can-do attitude. Currently, Tiffany is working with her team, the inside sales team, and business development managers to ensure that our agents have a smooth onboarding process and the carriers they need to thrive.

As many of you know, Kevin joined TWFG in 2008 as an intern while working through school. Since then, Kevin has earned his undergraduate degree, MBA, and CPCU. At TWFG, he’s worked in many areas – Operations, Underwriting, Product Management, and for a short time, was a sales agent at a local Allstate Agency.

10/4/2003 — the day I signed contracts with TWFG. We started the agency from scratch with three young boys (the youngest, ten months old) and my husband Tracy, a full-time student in college with a desire to help people and support my family. I could never have imagined where we would be today. It’s been a great family to belong to. I appreciate Gordy’s foresight in setting up an agency whose focus was to do the right thing for clients and agents. I appreciate the excellent staff I’ve been blessed with. I enjoy being part of a community that encourages small businesses.

Remembering Robert Wells

Remembering Robert Wells TWFG is saddened to announce the sudden passing of one of our branch owners, Robert Wells. Robert joined TWFG in 2014 and was an active branch in Beaumont, CA. Robert was only 35 years old, and his family was unprepared to lose him. If you would like to donate and help with the costs of his medical bills and funeral expenses, please see the link below. Hi everyone; I am excited to announce the onboarding of some exceptional talent over the past year. Key hires were made on the eVo software development team and TWFG’s infrastructure team. These additions represent a significant investment in people and technology to support continued innovation and growth.

For eVo, we added depth in software development, business analysis, project management, and product quality assurance. The eVo dev team is focused on incorporating agent feedback into the design and operation of eVo. The team is committed to delivering more frequent deployments with fewer defects.

We also added depth to the infrastructure, security, and Help Desk teams.

The Infrastructure team is focused on scaling and securing our platform to be out in front of growth, system usage, and emerging cyber threats. The Help Desk team is focused on providing fast and quality technology support.

TWFG HELPDESK The TWFG Help Desk has expanded its operating hours from 7:30am to 5:30pm CST Monday–Friday with after-hours on-call support for business-critical issues that can’t wait until the next business day.

eVo Development Team – Recent Additions Amanda Patterson – eVo Front-end Developer Amanda started in November 2022. As a Front-end Developer, Amanda is responsible for developing new eVo screens as new capabilities are built and for streamlining existing screens by reducing scrolling and eliminating unnecessary blank space, making access to the data that matters faster and easier. She also optimizes screens for multiple screen sizes, such as wide-screen monitors, laptops, and smartphones. These improvements will be announced as they occur in deployment release notes. Amanda comes to us from Core Laboratories in Houston, TX, where she was part of a front-end programming team developing a Lab Information Management System.

Tania Rahman – Quality Assurance Engineer Tania started in November 2022. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, Tania is responsible for ensuring the quality of software changes made to eVo by testing them thoroughly before they are released to production. Tania plays a crucial role in ensuring that eVo deployments are of high quality and reliable and releases have minimal defects. Tania has 7+ years of experience and comes to us from Wells Fargo Bank in Philadelphia.

Cynthia Vasquez – Business Support Analyst Cynthia started in October 2022. As a Business Analyst, Cynthia is responsible for analyzing business processes and gathering and documenting business requirements which our developers use to build and improve eVo. Cynthia is crucial in keeping our development team organized and focused by running our daily standups. Cynthia transitioned from the TWFG Dover Bay Underwriting Team, where she was the Underwriting Team Lead. Prior to TWFG, Cynthia worked for State Farm and holds a Personal Lines License.

eVo & Infrastructure Teams

29 Technology Update

eVo Development Team – Tenured Staff Don Bartlett – Senior Lead eVo Developer; Jessica Menard – Principle eVo Developer; Lisa Forster – Developer, have all been with TWFG for about five years and combined have nearly 60 years of development experience.

This team is responsible for developing the core layer of business logic that sits between the User Interface (agent-facing screens) and the backend database. They have key responsibilities of architecting, maintaining, and programming new capabilities to support thousands of transactions per minute.

Mark Sedgwick – Lead Business Support Analyst, has been with TWFG for 5+ years. Mark has an accounting background and is responsible for understanding and documenting business processes the developers use to develop code and for eVo system support. Mark is our go-to person for eVo questions and answers.

Infrastructure and Help Desk Team Matthew Jones – Infrastructure Manager

Matthew Jones

Matt started in February 2023. As Infrastructure Manager, Matt oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of our technology infrastructure. This includes TWFG’s email system and eVo Software as a Service (SaaS) platform. Matt plays a crucial role in data and cyber security and implementing policies and procedures that mitigate our exposure and risk to emerging threats.

Matt has 10+ years of experience and comes to us from Gulfstar Industries, where he designed and built Gulfstar’s entire infrastructure from the ground up and was responsible for the day-to-day operations of their technology infrastructure.

Brandon Clair – Azure Administrator Brandon started in April 2023. As Azure Administrator, Brandon is responsible for managing and maintaining our Azure Cloud computing services and infrastructure. He works on various infrastructure projects and level two help desk requests, which require a deep knowledge of our platform and systems. Brandon has 10+ years of experience and comes to us from NASA, where he supported and provided various IT solutions to NASA’s Astronaut Office.

Joseph Endsley – Help Desk Technician Joseph started in May 2023. As a Help Desk Technician, Joseph is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to users experiencing problems with computer hardware or software. Joseph’s goal is to ensure that users can effectively use their computer systems and minimize downtime caused by technical issues. Joseph comes to us from Dyopath, a managed IT Services company, where he provided help desk support to multiple clients and customers.

Gilbert Miro – Help Desk Supervisor Gilbert started in June 2023. As Help Desk Supervisor, Gilbert is responsible for the timely resolution of help desk requests and developing processes and procedures to scale support as TWFG grows. TWFG Opportunities Branch Referral Program

CONNECT Connect with someone who would benefit from becoming a TWFG branch.

REFER First branch referral bonus is $500. Each referral afterwards increase by $250 increments.

TRAINING

PAYMENT

First day of training will be the date/year of referral credit.

After new branch has been active for 90 days, the referral payment will be issued with 30 days.

• The first branch referral bonus will be paid at $500.

• Each branch referral bonus within the same calendar year will be increased in $250 increments per branch referral. » Branch Referral One: $500 » Branch Referral Two: $750 » Branch Referral Three: $1,000 • Branch referral fee payout amounts start over at $500 on January 1 of each calendar.

• The above bonus amounts do not include taxes.

• The year in which the new branch comes to training and the first day of branch training will be the date/year of referral credit.

E.g. - You refer a new branch to TWFG in November 2022 and the branch owner attends training in January 2023. This branch will be credited for the 2022 calendar year, thus beginning your referral bonus at $500 for 2023.

• The new branch must be active for 90 days from the first day of branch training for the referral bonus to be paid out.

• TWFG will issue all referral bonus payments within 30 days of the new branch’s 90-day mark.
