Gordy Bunch’s branch of TWFG Insurance won first place in the Best Insurance Agency or Agent category of Woodlands Online’s Best of The Woodlands survey. This year’s win marks TWFG Insurance’s 9th first-place win and 10th placement in this category.

The Best of The Woodlands contest is an annual online survey presented by Woodlands Online, a local publication, that takes place in February each year. Members of the local community vote for their favorite businesses from industries, including dining, entertainment, home improvement, and more. We’re so honored to be among the winners.

Thank you to all who donated for the women’s shelter and animal shelter! We had two very large hauls for both organizations, including some very nice winter jackets, lots of clothing, house decor, blankets/towels for the animal shelter, and food for the animal shelter. On March 4, the office where my wife works had their Christmas or “Springmas” party. They had rescheduled the party from December due to a COVID-19 outbreak at the office and local stores. The theme this year was black and white, so I was a die and took first place among the spouses and plus-one category.

It was a lot of fun, and we all had a great time.

LemonAid Stand Troy Tuomey Branch Owner — TX I have supported The Colonial Kids for a Cause for the past eight years with monetary donations, and my son, Mason Tuomey, has worked the LemonAid Stand.

The Colonial Kids for a Cause organization has raised over $500K since 2010 and puts on a golf tourney to help raise money for various nonprofits and charities.

In 2022, the money raised from the LemonAid stand went to the American Warrior Association, which provides support for military, first responders, veterans, and their families.

Welcome to TWFG! TWFG is pleased to announce the addition of Mark Alberto to the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Technology. In this role, Mark will assist executive management with the strategic direction and technology alignment with TWFG’s goals. Mark will work closely with the Infrastructure, eVo, and Xenith leadership as we continue to build out our technologies and prepare to sell them as a software as a service (SaaS).

Mark comes to us with a rich background of shaping technology that enables, streamlines, and automates processes. Most recently he worked for USI Insurance Services at their headquarters in Philadelphia.

He was hired as a consultant to lead the development of their new proprietary claims and risk control analytics system. Prior to working at USI, Mark worked 20+ years at a regional broker and is familiar with all aspects of the independent agency side of the business and with AMS systems. He has led multiple implementations of agency management systems and Salesforce.

We are excited to have Mark on our team to help us navigate, deploy, and potentially set up our own offshore team. We believe his experience and background will be a valuable addition to our current IT teams and assist us in moving forward quickly in the insurance and technology space.

Chris has a solid background in IT support, network, infrastructure, and Azure administration. He is an accomplished systems engineer with a proven track record in project management, leadership, and technology. He has worked on worked on wireless network administration, active directory, security policy management, firewall administration, software and application and life-cycle management, Mitel phone systems and VOIP systems. Originally born and raised in Florida, he moved to Texas in 2019. He spent three years in upstate New York, most of his time working in the United States Army as a petroleum specialist. In his free time, he enjoys spending time at the park doing cardio or working on eBooks he created a couple of years ago. Please join us in welcoming Chris to the TWFG team!

Gil came to us with over 25 years of IT experience with carrier, MGA, and insurance software development. He has developed policy administration systems, agency portals, and client portals.

Most recently, Gil worked at InsurePay, which provided insurance billing software applications.

Before that, he worked at a software company that created homeowner systems for insurance carriers. We believe Gil’s insurance expertise and background can be put to good use in helping our Xenith team further fine-tune and enhance Xenith for Twico and prepare for future sales of Xenith to third-party insurance companies.

Rick came to us from Shelter Insurance, where he worked for15 years. He started his career at Shelter as a CAT Response Team Property Adjuster for an 18-state territory. From 2009 to 2013, Rick was promoted to Residential and Commercial Property Adjuster for Large and Complex Losses. From there, he was promoted to Property Claims Supervisor. Rick has managed on-site staff and off-site independent CAT adjusters, bringing a wealth of property experience and will help us build out our own internal Twico Claim Department.

We want to take this opportunity to announce the promotion of Chris Tsakiris to Vice President of Inside Sales and Support.

Please join us in congratulating Gage Swan on his promotion to High-Value Account Executive.

When Chris joined us two years ago at the beginning of the pandemic, he came to us with a CPCU and over 20 years of insurance experience, having worked at Velocity, GE Electric Insurance, Travelers, and USAA. Chris hit the ground running and put this experience to work. Over the last two years, he’s built metrics, overseen the Emperor sales team, and learned our model of GA, Penguin, and Branch offerings. He has also done eVo demonstrations Chris Tsakiris and Club tabulations and has spent time visiting VP of Inside Sales our branches. He is currently working with the & Support Inside Sales team and Account Executives to build a consistent schedule for reaching out to help our agents grow and prosper.

Since joining TWFG in September 2020, Gage has doubled the premium and quote volume on the High-Value desk. He has also provided backup to the Commercial Team in Inside Sales and Support and assisted in streamlining processes. Gage has augmented our branch and staff training programs with an Gage Swan informative segment on high-value High-Value carriers. He’s earned the respect Account Executive of agents, carrier partners, and coworkers with his work ethic, willingness to help others, and strong analytical skills. Also, if you ever need help with the screen in the Board Room, Gage is your man.

We are sure she will be a leading force in this new TWFG voyage. Judith has been with TWFG since March 2013 and holds an MBA in Human Resources, Management/Business Management.

11 Welcome to TWFG!

Brooke joined TWFG nearly five years ago, and she was instrumental in managing our third-party administrators through multiple natural catastrophes including Hurricane Harvey and Uri. Since June 2021, she has been adjusting large complex claims, including claims going through litigation and appraisal, and she Brooke Press handles inquiries and escalated calls Claims Team Lead to completion. Additionally, Brooke has been responsible for training claims staff on Twico processes and procedures, and she has been continually engaged with assigned projects. She is positive about change and agile in her duties. Brooke is transitioning into a new role where she will assume additional responsibilities as the Twico claims department expands and becomes more autonomous to better serve our customers.

TWFG Philippines: Virtual Assistants Katherine Nolan COO Join me in officially welcoming TWFG Virtual Assistants to the TWFG Family!

In May, at our annual Convention, TWFG was pleased to announce the addition of its sixth company, PSN, soon to be renamed PSN dba TWFG Virtual Assistants, under its TWFG Holdings umbrella.

Last week, Gordy had the opportunity to visit the operation in the Philippines, meet our new employees, give out TWFG swag, and see the current office space. While there, he also got to know the area and scope out possible new locations for PSN since we intend to grow our offshore footprint significantly.

TWFG has big plans for PSN dba TWFG Virtual Assistants as they will provide licensed and unlicensed virtual assistant services to TWFG agents and accounting, commission, and development staff to augment TWFG’s current teams. We know everyone has staffing needs and concerns, and we believe our offshore team can help fill those needs. We are relaunching our Visa and Licensing program to bring PSN staff members to the U.S. for training and licensing so we can offer you both options. In the next few months, we will be hiring new staff who will be available to perform unlicensed work for your agency.

Inside Sales & Support Update Chris Tsakiris VP of Inside Sales & Support Inside Sales is growing — in size and scope. In the first half of 2022, the Inside Sales & Support and Account Executive teams worked over 20,000 support tickets and handled nearly 15,000 phone calls, roughly half of which were inbound.

Over the past several months we’ve added several new team members: Robert Rangel joined our Commercial Lines team in March with 15 years of industry experience. After spending several years in Alaska, Robert has a strong background in trucking/transportation.

Madonna Carter came on board in June 2022 and is already proving herself to be a strong asset to Personal Lines Support. Madonna most recently spent eight years in an independent agency where she worked with many of the same PL carriers as TWFG. She is excited to put that knowledge to work in ISS! Nancy Holubec will also join our Commercial team in July 2022. Nancy comes to us after 11 years with Brown & Brown.

The AE program is proving to be a success. As we speak, our fantastic team of Account Executives (Soni Cole, Zori Bartusek, Chrystal Davidson, and Christina Rogers) continue to reach out to and field inquiries from our branch agency force. We are proud of the progress we are making and look forward to lots more!

Michele Baczkiewicz has been highly effective as our General Agency and Twico AE, helping to grow the GA channel at its fastest clip in years. Hopefully you were able to meet some of these amazing folks at the Convention, where they all worked hard to help things run smoothly.

Our quarterly webinar training series has been a hit, with strong, steady attendance and lots of great information coming from Valerie Gilbert as well as several of our vendors and carrier partners. Keep an eye out for the schedule that goes out each quarter and sign up for what you see fit. A few of the carriers we partner with offer CE credit for attending! Kimberly Kinkaid has overseen branch training for 22 new offices and another 53 folks who attended staff training YTD. Our Emperor Penguin (EPI) team, led by Joanna Silvestre, continues to grow and evolve under TWFG’s direction. The Philippines staff was excited to host Gordy last month!

Our team is excited for the new initiatives and new challenges to come as we look forward to a bright future for TWFG!

She and AJ celebrated five and a half years together before tying the knot in The Woodlands, Texas, at Abby’s parents’ house. The weather permitted a beautiful outdoor ceremony with an indoor/outdoor reception. The TWFG Family wishes Mr. and Mrs. Aljaafreh many more wonderful years together.

Cameron, better known as “Car Show” Cameron, around here, is getting the TWFG name known in our community. He has mastered the quote by Marc Anthony:

“If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.”

Cameron was licensed June 2021, and one month later attended the TWFG Convention where Hagerty wowed him. He came back home, researched local car clubs, and joined Southeast Rods & Customs and Dee’s Road Rascals. He is now a vendor and pops up his tent 10 to 12 times a month. People do business with people they know, like, and trust. He is out in the community making friends with all the car show people. Hagerty said, “The biggest door to the house is the garage door.” They are not wrong!

Every classic car owner is required to have a daily driver, most of them own homes, and we have found many of them are small business owners. His efforts bring multiple policies to TWFG, not just classic auto policies.

Upon returning home from Texas, Cameron immediately contacted Trish Myers from Hagerty. His relationship with her started in Texas at the 2021 National TWFG Agent Convention. She invited him on a tour of the Hagerty Private Garage and taught him all about the niche market of classic collectible cars. She also introduced him to Hagerty’s Top Gear Club (Hagerty’s Recognition for Top Producing Agencies). She explained all of the qualifications which is a huge motivator for him. He wants to be a respected club member.

Top Gear Club inspires his work ethic. Cameron is working seven days a week, with car shows every Saturday and Sunday, but

he loves it! Nothing stops him — 98 degrees in August to 32 degrees in February, you will find “Car Show” Cameron at the show educating people how to insure their classic and collectible vehicles properly.

He has customized his car to have something to flaunt at the shows.

It’s a 2017 Chrysler 200, but he has made a presence with his car.

He named it “The Hive” because that’s where all the honeys go.

Due to COVID-19, TWFG Dillon Insurance was unable to have a true Grand Opening. “Car Show” Cameron organized a Grand Opening/Anniversary Car Show on February 12, 2022. He invited clients, friends, family, and the entire community to welcome TWFG Dillon Insurance to Palm Beach, Florida.

Not only is this Cameron’s journey to success, but this is also a Convention success story. He would not have had the opportunities or the idea of how to start building his book. “All agency owners should attend the Convention and bring employees. I never imagined the gain from attending would result in the substantial ROI Dillon Insurance would receive,” said Cameron.

Remembering John Keefer TWFG is saddened to announce the passing of one of our beloved branch owners, John Keefer. John joined TWFG in 2008 and grew his office from one to four locations in Texas. He quickly joined the Million Dollar Club and advanced to the President’s Club in 2016. John was very involved in his town of Marlin, Texas, serving as the city’s mayor from May of 2017 to May of 2019.

He was also a member of the Marlin Lions Club, Marlin Men’s Civic Association, and served on the Falls County Samaritan House and Marlin Athletic League board.

John was a devoted husband of 19 years to Gayleen and father to a 13-year-old daughter, Emma.

Early on in his employment, Brad exhibited true concern for our clients. They connected with him and began to ask for him by name — even when I was the one answering the phone. Brad was with us for three and a half years, and I know that during that time many of our clients grew to admire him in the same way that my wife, Martha, and I did. Brad’s sense of humor was a breath of fresh air.

Working remotely, he would often call to ask if I could sell him a car warranty or if I could take his (imaginary) claim. I would tell him we were not accepting claims today or that we were offering a special six-pack price on car warranties. Other times he would call and, without saying a word, make a long sigh. I knew that he was most likely dealing with a needy client. My response was usually something like, “Did you just get off the phone with our ‘favorite’ client?”

Brad intended to continue with our branch as a career agent. He was proficient as a CSR and was on his way to excelling as a producer.

In true TWFG fashion, he would work late and weekends to care for our clients. Brad attended the TWFG Convention for the first time last year. He had a great time, and he was looking forward to attending again.

Please keep Brad’s wife in your thoughts and prayers, and also his mother. Brad was an only child, and his father had previously passed. He will be greatly missed.

Home Office Activities Committee Casey Meyers GB Branch Manager TWFG relaunched its Activities Committee, which is currently led

by Valarie Gilbert and Casey Meyers. The continued success of the committee is driven by its members and others at the Home Office. The creativity, commitment, and compassion of those involved with the Activities Committee cannot be overstated.

One of the biggest challenges we have faced has been narrowing down the list of fantastic activity ideas as we did not want to overwhelm everyone with too many activities. So far, one of the biggest successes has been the Easter Egg Hunt, which received incredible feedback and participation!

The committee has also received excellent feedback for decorating employee workspaces for birthday and TWFG anniversary celebrations. At this point, the committee has gotten into a nice rhythm with doing two to three events per month, including Happy Hours and lunchtime crafting projects. A big thank-you to all those who assist in these events throughout the year. We are very excited about our upcoming activities.

Home Office Events TWFG India Trains At Home Office Our trip to our TWFG office in Houston will be etched in our memories forever.

We cannot thank enough each one in our commission team with mentors including Debra, Renee, and in particular our guru Judith. There was so much learning every day, and it made us more productive to add value to our TWFG India team.

Other than work, each time we stepped out with leaders which included Katherine,

Judith Wighaman takes the India Commission Group to Buc-ee’s and on a tour of Texas

Gordy, and Alex and hearing from them and their experiences made us aware about our purpose — it was very special to us. Last but not least, our teacher, guide and mentor Judi took extra efforts to make us feel home — a trip with family to San Antonio and Austin, eating different cuisines, and a birthday celebration that made us feel a part of the TWFG Family. I request you all to accept my heartfelt gratitude for knowledge transfer and co-operation when we are back at our office to make it successful.
