Tweed Coast to be a sea of pink for a day ON SATURDAY, July 25, hordes of pink visitors will descend on the Tweed Coast. One hundred and fifty breast cancer survivors and supporters, all dragon boaters from DA Groups across Australia, will swoop on the arear to take part in the 2015 National Dragons Abreast Muster, hosted by local Dragons Abreast Mt Warning group. The convention will offer a program of workshops and guest speakers, with the theme 20 Years Abreast in a Boat. Having the conference in the Tweed will visitors an opportunity to discover the region’s treasures, both on and off the water. The culmination of the weekend will be a National Hat Regatta at Jack Evans Boat Harbour from 8 am to 2.30 pm on Sunday July 26. The spectacle of 150 paddlers racing each other, all dressed in different pink uniforms will be a spectacle for onlookers. There will also be a Flowers on the Water ceremony to remember the women lost to breast cancer along the way. This ceremony will take place about 1.45pm.
