MISSING PERSONS WEEK NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller said that since its inception in July 2019, reviews conducted by the MPR have led to 57 long-term missing people being located. “This year alone, 99 per cent of persons reported missing to police have been located within 90 days, which can be attributed to the collaborative work by frontline police and
those within the Missing Persons Registry,” Commissioner Fuller said. “In addition, officers are using every technological advancement available to continue following lines of inquiry to solve missing persons cases that date back more than 70 years.” Read more on pages 11 and 17.

Woolies to progress M’bah site By Jonathon Howard TWEED SHIRE residents are being asked to share their thoughts around whether Woolworths should develop the former Murwillumbah Bowls and Sports Club site at the corner of Condong Street and Brisbane Street.
Woolworths are taking a consultative approach with the site and are eager to see a new supermarket built on their land currently zoned recreational. The Weekly spoke with Woolworths State Property Manager Chris Sheehan in an exclusive interview to find out more about the proposed development.
The Weekly also spoke to Tweed Shire Councillors to find out if they supported the proposal which would require Woolworths to first apply for a change of zoning on the site from recreational to commercial or mixed use. You can read the full reports on page 5 and page 6.
