Join a positive and structured networking group such as BNI, where you will build your network and develop your business skills. Keep a positive, abundant mindset, and enjoy the journey!

Q: What advice would you give other women to succeed in business?

Kathy Ward -

I believe strongly that the secret to my success still comes back to the basics

• Provide excellent treatments. • Provide excellent service.

• Treat your customers with the respect they deserve. Appreciate the fact that of all the competition they have chosen your business to spend their hard earned money with.

• Be friendly and smile. • Be kind and empathetic. • Always be truthful and ethical. • Always keep a clean good name as it’s the only one you have.

Tania Sheppard – JET Real Estate

I would say to a woman starting out in business today. Don’t listen to anything or anyone negative. Go with your gut and trust your instincts. Don’t try to be like a man. Use your feminine power and just go for it. The words no and can’t should be eliminated from your vocabulary. My favourite saying is. She thought she could. And so she did.

Elizabeth Hickey –JET Real Estate

I would say to woman starting out in business today ... Listen to positive input. Network with people who want to support and help you grow.

Don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself in all aspects of life – whether it be personal or professional. By being outspoken and taking chances, you are able to break down barriers and biases. The more that we do this, the more gender equity is not just a goal – but a reality

Penny Brady & Ashlee Henwood Bromley’s Denture Clinic

Living and working in the tweed for over 30 years, both Penny and Ashlee are true locals who pride themselves in getting to know and assist the local community.

After what seems like a lifetime living in the USA and working in Real Estate sales in Washington DC, Tampa Florida, Santa Monica California, and Stamford Connecticut.

Suzanne returned to her native Australia to be closer to family and began her Real Estate career on the Tweed 9 years ago.

Real Estate transactions are very different in Australia compared to USA in more ways than you can imagine. So she set out to begin again.

After spending time with different area franchises Suzanne made a name for herself in a profession that sees many come and go.

In February 2022 she set herself apart by stepping out of the norm and going it alone with Suzanne Foss Real Estate, and hasn’t looked back. As a licenced real estate agent in NSW and Queensland and Principal of Suzanne Foss Real Estate, Suzanne specialises in the Southern Gold Coast and Northern New South Wales. Suzanne and her team have made their mark being one of the top agencies and most recommended in the area.

Her ability truly shows in the number of homes sold, with both sellers and buyers delighted with their results.

Her point of difference is that she really does care about the outcome for the people who count on her to do the very best for them.

Never giving up and guiding people through the process of either buying or selling while sharing her proven strategy.

Natalie Szymanski - eZee Mortgages

Originially from Newcastle (via Sydney, Darwin and Melbourne) I made the move to Murwillumbah and the Tweed area in 2016 to rid myself of the humdrum of city life. I have since found the people of this area very welcoming and always eager to chat. Its a beautiful part of the world and I can easily see why the locals love it.

I started eZee Mortgages after gaining valuable experience as a banker for NAB for over 20 years. I’ve always loved helping people buy their first , their second and even their third home. It can be a stressful time just on its own without adding the Bank to the mix, and now interest rates are on the up and up its now more than ever that you need to know you have a good broker in your corner to make you are have the right loan for your situation.

EMBRACE EQUITY

Living in the Tweed for close to 40 years, Penny is a true local, priding herself in getting to know and assist the local community. Working as a Dental Technician, then a Dental Prosthetist, Penny boasts over 15 years of handson experience, and currently serves as a director on the board of the Australian Dental Prosthetist Association. Her customers will tell you she is a patient, caring and understanding professional, who embraces diversity, and inclusion.

As a woman working in an industry that is primarily male dominated, Penny says, ‘It is important for me to forge positive change. I am setting an example for my daughter, and other women coming up in both this, and other industries, that they too can ‘Embrace Equity’ and help cultivate an equal world for all.’

If you have any denture concerns or questions, feel free to contact Bromley’s Denture Clinic on 0755232555 to arrange a complementary appointment.

People have asked my why should they use a Mortgage Broker - well, for one thing, loyalty for your bank doesn’t pay anymore. All the best deals and rates seem to go to attracting new clients, and besides, who do you know if the loan you took out 10 years ago, even 5 years ago, is still the right one for your ever changing needs. You need to have someone you trust, that knows you, that can help and guide you through the options available to you and show you how best to present yourself to a bank.

With me in your corner, you have that person !

• I work for you and you only, I am legally obligated to work in your best interest.

• I have over 40 banks and lenders on my books to compare loans frommore banks gives you more choice.

• I act on your behalf with the banks so you dont. That means less stress, less confusion and more time for you to spend on the things you like to do.
