ONE OF the highlights of Christmas on the Tweed Coast, The Lions Club of Cabarita Beach Pottsville Beach Christmas party, held on Saturday, December 10, was back after a threeyear COVID-19 hiatus and it was a smash hit with locals.
The popular event included Christmas carols from local school children, live music, a barbecue, raffles, a visit from Santa that just about caused a stampede with kids screaming, “I love you Santa” as if he was the Beatles, and fireworks donated by the Cabarita Beach Hotel.
A big shout out to the amazing volunteers from the Lions Club as well as Tweed District Rescue Squad VRA, Tweed Coast SES, Tweed Coast RFS and the Cabarita Beach Surf Life Saving Club, who all worked hard to make the day loads of fun.
