Multi-million dollar Tweed

THEY MIGHT be beyond the reach of the average punter, but there is no harm in dreaming, and the luxury properties on the Tweed Shire and Coolangatta markets right now are the stuff of big dreams.

Not that long ago it was a huge deal when the median price for a suburb passed a million dollars, but those days are done. Now half the real estate in the shire is that at least — and for good reason.

Climbing up the luxury end of the market there are currently 131 properties listed on realestate.com

for over $2 million, 52 over $3 million and 32 over $4 million.

There are around 12 for sale for over $5 million, including some absolute palaces in the Salt area.

There are a handful over $6 million, including one Nobbys Creek property boasting its own runway and aircraft hangar on the market for $6 million to $6.5 million.

If you are after a bit of beachfront luxury, you can’t go past the penthouse apartment at 3/2 Hill Street, Tweed Heads.

It has some of the best views from the huge balcony on the whole east coast. You can even see Caba!

You can pop out the front and enjoy a quiet uncrowded wave (just kidding) at D-Bah, walk over to the iconic Rainbow Bay Surf Club for a sundowner, or stroll along the Tweed River into beautiful Coolangatta. This place has it all. Location, views, views, location. “I want in Schmithy!”

These are just some of the stunning properties available in the loveliest shire in the country (okay we are a little biased) and though you might have to be a millionaire to own one, dreaming will always be free.
