The updated COVID-19 vaccines from Moderna and Pfizer, based on the KP 2 strain, offer safe and effective protection against current variants for everyone aged 6 months and older. These vaccines target the FLiRT variants responsible for the majority of summer infections. Individuals who haven't contracted COVID recently can get vaccinated either immediately or by mid-October to prepare for the seasonal rise in cases from November to January. Higher-risk individuals should get vaccinated as soon as possible, as full immunity develops two weeks after vaccination
COVID-19 vaccines and booster shots are 100% free for every individual living in the United States - even if you do not have insurance Visit https://vaccinelocator.doh.wa.gov/ to find a place to get your next booster.
