Opioid Education & CPR Training

Saturday, Feb 8 | 11:30 AM-1:00 PM Rainier Valley Leadership Academy 6020 Rainier Ave S. , Seattle

FREE Opioid Education & Prevention Training and CPR Training in person. Naloxone demonstration and hands-on practice on mannequins. All are welcome to attend; snacks will be provided. Training includes:

Opioid education and information on how to use naloxone in case of an overdose Naloxone demonstration and hands-on practice on mannequins

CPR demonstration

Free snacks

Please note: CPR certification not included.

Have you registered yet? Join AARTH for our 6-week interactive Diabetes Self-Management workshop. You will learn how to alleviate your stressors and/or concerns around Diabetes. We will work through the process, transition, and manageability of living with Diabetes. The event is geared towards unpaid caregivers, but anyone is welcome to attend. Classes are limited to 15 people.

Grocery Give-Away

In partnership with the Emergency Feeding Program AARTH will be providing free food boxes, which contains a mix of perishable, and non-perishable food items. No ID, or proof of residence is required. Food boxes are limited to prevent food waste. Online registration is required. Pick up will be at the Rocket Community Fitness, 5720 Rainier Ave S, Seattle, 98118.

Volunteer w/AARTH

Are you passionate about making a difference? AARTH is looking for dedicated volunteers to support caregivers, seniors and LGBTQ communities in Seattle.

Staff Updates

We are excited to welcome Vinson Latimore and Twanda Hill as they step into interim leadership roles during Executive Director Kathleen Wilcox's family leave over the next 3–6 months.

Vinson Latimore will manage organizational operations, evaluate outcomes and contractual compliance and implement administrative policies and strategies.

Twanda Hill will supervise and support staff with program deliverables. Vinson brings a wealth of experience in healthcare, long-term care, and specialize in Medicare and Medicaid education in the public and not for profit sectors. Twanda has been a trusted consultant with AARTH for over 20 years, contributing significantly to our mission and programs.
