Mental Wealth Group With Rickey Leachman SAT, AUG 6 10:00 AM ONLINE

Join AARTH and Rickey Leachman for group discussions on mental wealth. The groups will meet virtually once a month on Saturday's at 10:00 AM. The first session will dive into mindfulness, and the breakdown of brain structure, such as the amygdala brain, and the prefrontal cortex. The groups are geared toward unpaid caregivers, but all are welcome!

National Faith HIV/AIDS Awareness Day MONDAY, AUG 29 The observance is intended to engage faith communities to work together for HIV/AIDS education, prevention, treatment, care and support, and to reduce and eliminate stigma and discrimination. NFHAAD was first observed in 2017.

Free HIV Prevention Coaching

W h y S h o u l d I T a k e P r E P M e d i c a t io n ?

PrEP medications allow those at risk for HIV to take control of their health and reduce their risk. If you are at risk of HIV exposure through sex or injection drug use, ask a health care professional if PrEP is right for you. PrEP medications only protect against HIV, so condoms are still important to prevent 0er sexually transmitted infections.

How Does PrEP Work?

PrEP medications are safe and effective and can help prevent HIV. When taken as prescribed, PrEP is highly effective at preventing a person from getting HIV.

What You Should Know About Monkeypox?

Monkeypox is a contagious disease spread through close physical contact. People who get sick usually have mild illness and recover in 2-4 weeks, but cases can be more serious.

While the risk of infection is low in King County, case reports are increasing.

Anyone who has been in close contact with someone who has monkeypox is at r i s k . If y o u d e v e l o p symptoms, talk to a medical provider immediately.

National Immunization Awareness Month National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM) is an annual observance held in August to highlight the importance of vaccination for people of all ages.

Adults and children 6 months and older can get other vaccines at the same time as COVID-19 vaccination.

Talk with your doctor if you have questions. The federal government is providing COVID-19 vaccines free of charge to everyone ages 6 months and older living in the United States, regardless of their immigration or health insurance status.
