Dear Friends and Family As the founder and executive director of VCBynum Arts and Education, I close out 2021 in gratitude for the community that I have and the community that we are building through the arts. My mission is to further artistic, educational, and philanthropic pursuits that empower communities through dance and other art forms.

My motto since the early 2000s has been “Dance Is Life!!” I truly believe that movement and the arts can heal our mind, body, and spirit.

This is why I chose to use my artistic talents to help communities in need. From the Hurricane Katrina Arts Benefit in 2005 to Humanity: An Evolving Perspective in 2020, my desire to take on this mission has been consistent.

Life has forever changed due to Covid and racial injustices, highlighting why humanity must be at the forefront. Only Love can provide the healing that is needed to transcend the pain and hatred that we experience. We have many lessons to learn, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share my perspective creatively with amazing humans.

Because of your generosity in December 2021, we have already made a $2200 donation to Special Moments of Kent, WA. After we stream, we will donate to Jennifer Baxter to assist with her cancer treatment expenses. With past donations, we have paid our artists and raise funds for the community (including Food is Love Seattle and Northwest Tap Connection’s Shaina’s Garden) In addition, we are working toward investing in the growth of our company. If you have not made your final tax-deductible donation for 2021, please invest in VC Bynum Arts and Education.
