Dynabox corrugated cartons all have a Kraft paper outer liner which gives added strength to the box and allows better tape adhesion. They are manufactured from 70% recycled board and are 100% recyclable.

EXPORT & TRANSIT CARTONS

Euro Cartons are easy to assemble as the sequence of images below show. Simply take off the lid open up the contents and put the lid back on to create a carton ready to transport your goods.

FOAM FILLED CARTONS

There are three principal methods of applying printed images to corrugated boxes:

Flexographic Printing, Screen Printing and Litho-Laminating.

All three methods are commonly used, but serve different purposes and budgets. In this section a brief summary of each printing method is outlined to allow you a greater understanding of which printing process serves your needs best.

Flexographic Printing

This is the most common method of printing on corrugated board and is often executed on the same machine and at the same time in-line as it converts a corrugated pad into a box. Flexographic printing is very economical and is utilized in large or small production runs.

Flexography uses flexible rubber or polymer plates to transfer an image onto corrugated material much like a mechanized rubber stamp. Fast-drying, water-based inks are generally used, which allow for fast running speeds.

SCREEN PRINTING

This method is ideal for those who desire a higher resolution image than flexo-printing provides. Full colour graphics are available using screen printing and are ideal for higher quality display, point-of-sale, and retail in-store cartons.

Screen printing is a process of forcing ink through a tight screen which is mounted on a frame. The screen carries a stencil which defines the image area and is made of porous material which allows for full ink coverage on corrugated board.

The board is generally screen printed prior to its conversion into a box or display.

This method is often used for retail packaging or POP displays and is appropriate for small or medium sized production runs.

Litho-Laminating

The process of litho-Laminating produces a photographic finish. For high value goods and presentation. What you get is very high definition, sharp images with the ability to produce bright colours.

The flexible plate is attached to a roller in which the carton is fed through, applying the ink on each pass. For each colour a separate plate is used meaning that the less colours used the more economical the cost, this is why other printing methods are used when using multiple colours. this method is ideal for straight text or 1-2 colour graphical images.

The method of litho-laminating involves the printing of a sheet of paper by an offset printer. The printed paper is later glued to the corrugated board using a water-based adhesive. The litho-laminated board is then converted into the box.

Litho-laminated boxes are appropriate for those who are looking for a high quality finish to their corrugated packaging and is often used for retail packaging or Point-of-Sale displays. This method is most suited to larger production runs.

Corrugated material is highly absorbent and thus flexo printing is not recommended for high definition graphics. The print quality is dependent on many variables, and is influenced by the absorbency of the material being printed.

Folding Box Board (Litho-Laminated)

This is otherwise known as solid board, and usually used for smaller boxes as it isn’t as strong as corrugated board. Up to certain board thicknesses it can be litho printed prior to manufacture giving a very professional finish. Solid board boxes can be supplied plain or printed and they are ideally suited for higher quantity print runs. The main benefit is superior presentation

PRINTED POLYTHENE

We can print your polythene products in up to four colours on both sides to provide the professional finish.

Technical Information Explained

Although polythene is a very simple product, when it comes to manufacturing there are a number of terms for different formats of product style, packing and measuring. Here we explain just some of the most common terms used:

Thickness is expressed in microns or in gauge.

• Micron - 1 micron is 1/1000th of a millimetre.

• Gauge - 4 gauge = 1 micron eg: 500g = 125mų

Natural is used to describe the material colour without any colour additives. (Ostensibly it is clear although it can become more translucent depending on thickness and amount of recycled material used.)

Virgin material is derived from Polymer which contains no recycled content.

Regran is material which is either 100% recycled or contain recycled material.

Tint relates to colour additives. If you do not have solid colour you have a “tint” of colour to distinguish it.

POLYTHENE BAGS

Our Low Density polythene bags are excellent for packing virtually any product for transport, presentation or simply as a dust cover. Available in a wide range of sizes and thicknesses, we can also produce LD polythene bags to your size and colour, as well as providing a complete design and print service.

This product product is suitable for food use.

All special production runs of polythene bags can be produced as Anti-Static or printed with your own design

POLYTHENE LAYFLAT TUBING

Layflat tubing, known as polythene tubing, is a continuous length of polythene tubing that creates custom bags of almost any shape and size. This product is used to improve presentation and add security. The polythene can be sealed with either heat sealers or bag ties.

HEAT-SEALERS

Heat-Sealers can be used with either Polythene Layflat Tubing or PVC/Polyolafin shrinkfilm, just by using a different heat element - flatwire for Layflat Tubing and roundwire for shrinkfilm.

The most common version is the bar sealer which has a spring loaded hinge at one end and an adjustable heat controller for different thicknesses of film. You can also have the sealer complete with a film cutter to ensure that your seals are always neatly finished.

Where fast packing is required or both hands are needed to hold the package, we supply a foot operated magnet sealer which can be either a manually activated or automatic seal. This version of sealer can be supplied either on a height adjustable stand or as bench mounted. Highly efficient, reliable and very tidy, our Heat-Sealers will help you to cut down on packing time.

Test Valley introduce Dyna-Grip

Dyna-Grip has been developed to increase stability and the safety of pallets by reducing or eliminating movement of goods during shipment. This has been achieved by coating both sides of the paper with a water based acrylic to give the non-slip characteristics.

With a high coefficient of friction and ample thickness, Dyna-grip enables use as both a pallet liner and an interleaving paper.

Dyna-grip can be palletized with up to 5000 sheets per pallet thus improving the operating efficiency as well as creating a reduction in the storage area for pallet liners of up to 90%.

Stabilizes your palletized loads by increasing the coefficient of friction.

A low unit cost. It compares well with cardboard separator sheets or corner boards.

Platform rotation speed, acceleration and deceleration are controlled by a frequency inverter; this guarantees that the turntable always stops in correct position regardless of the load weight and ensures it is always aligned with the infeed and outfeed conveyors, assuring correct pallet supply and unloading. This soft start and soft stop also helps with wrapping unstable loads.

HEAT SHRINK SYSTEMS

Heat shrunk polythene provides a very strong and secure load, and can be applied in virtually any situation. Heat is applied by the operator with a gas fuelled heat gun and the material shrinks around the load holding it in place.

Select the staples and leg lengths

The C561 top stapler is available in two variants; with leg lengths of 15-18 mm (5/8" to 3/4") and for 22 mm (7/8") leg length. The stapling depth is set by means of a simple knob on the front of the tool (which has five Positions). The change between 15 and 18 mm (5/8" and 3/4") leg lengths is made by a screw at the front.
