Happy New Year folks!! We hope everyone had a wonderful, safe holiday season! 2020 is off to a great start, we can’t believe January is over already!! Hats off to those whose calving barns were busting at the seams during that frigid spell, but hey, only 2 more months till Spring!!!

We would like to send out belated birthday wishes to a few of our friends who celebrated milestones lately- Happy 40th birthday to both Angela Thorgilsson, Triple T Diamond Simmentals, Lundar, MB and Scott Harvie, Harvie Crest Cattle Co., Olds, AB; and a Happy 75th Birthday to Yvonne Dequier, Triple R Simmentals, Haywood, MB. Congratulations folks!

We would like to send our deepest sympathies to Lynne Anderson, Cherry Creek Farms, Boissevain, MB and her family on the passing of her husband, Ed Anderson. Ed was a tireless promoter of the Simmental breed for many years and was also a distinguished member of the Boissevain community, having served as Mayor for several years. Ed will be missed by many, our thoughts are with his family during these difficult days ahead. We also send our thoughts and prayers to the Neitz family, EDN Simmentals, Maple Creek,SK on the passing of Ernest Neitz in December. Ernest was a fine cattleman and a joy to be around, he will be misssed by many that knew him. With bull sale season just around the corner, the mailboxes will soon be flooded with catalogues with bulls for sale from coast to coast. Study those pedigrees, mark your books well, there will be lots to choose from, so choose wisely! Although the markets haven’t been as strong as past years, the demand for good Simmental bulls is still high, so bid with confidence boys, and get r done!
