Answers

here are answers to the most frequently asked questions ___

Where can I buy a lift ticket?

Ticket windows are located on the south side of the Bridger Center and at the Tram building at Tickets & Guest Services. Guests may also review pricing, check availability, and purchase tickets online at shop.jacksonhole.com. We recommend purchasing tickets online 14 days prior to your trip for the best available rate. Half day tickets are available online in advance and on the day-of for a noon start time. If capacity limits are met for a specific day, 1/2 day tickets may still be available or sign up for a skiing or snowboarding lesson.

Where can I pick up lift tickets that were purchased online?

Find lift ticket pick-up boxes in Teton Village: inside and outside the Tickets & Guest Services building, outside the Mountain Sports School building, inside the Bridger Center at JH Sports Rentals, and inside Teton Village Sports. Scan the QR code from your online order to receive your J Card (lift ticket) at the pick-up box.

Can I get to the town of Jackson if I don’t have my own car?

Yes! START Bus runs continual service from Teton Village to Jackson daily. The bus stop is located in front of the tram building. For a schedule, call (307) 733-4521 or visit startbus.com.

Do you need a special ticket to go out of bounds?

No. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort neither encourages nor discourages guests from enjoying terrain in the backcountry. Make sure you know backcountry safety before you go and have a partner, a plan, and the necessary equipment with you such as an avalanche beacon, probe and shovel. Please review and understand the daily backcountry report provided by Bridger-Teton Avalanche Center and posted at all backcountry gates. Alternatively, hire a guide for the day and receive firsthand knowledge. Guide Service (307) 739-2797.

What is an inversion?

An inversion occurs when the temperatures in the valley are much colder than the temperatures on the mountain. Inversion days will often result in warmer temperatures on the mountain. If you hear the word inversion, there is only one place to be and that is up on the mountain.

Where should I take kids for Mountain Sports School?

Kids 8 years old and older should proceed to the Sweetwater Gondola and exit the gondola at the mid-station, or Solitude Station. Please check in with Mountain Sports School when you arrive. Kids 7 years old and under will meet at the Kid’s Ranch, located in the Cody House just above the base of the Bridger Gondola. (877) 590-2490.

Where do I find information on snow conditions and events?

Find up-to-date information with the JH Insider app. Information Screens located at Café 6311, Ticket Services, Guest Service Center, and JH Sports will inform you on temperatures, on-mountain cams, events, and grooming. Radio: KJHR 100.1 FM. Phone: (307) 733-2291
