FAQ WHERE DO WE RIDE? We are only a few miles away from the famous Continental Divide Trail that offers more than 500 miles of trails through the backcountry. Our full-day tours ride to the famous Brooks Lake Lodge where we enjoy lunch and then ride back to the ranch. Our half-day tours include lunch at the ranch.
WHAT’S PROVIDED? Full-faced helmet (can use goggles or sunglasses under the shield), boots, and snowsuit. What to Wear? Dress in warm layers (similar to what you would wear skiing). We recommend a wool or synthetic base layer and warm, water-proof snow gloves. Who can ride? Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and passengers must be ages 6+. FAQ WHAT’S INCLUDED? Full faced helmet (can use goggles or sunglasses under the shield) and a full tank of gas. DO WE FILL THE GAS TANK? Rentals come with a full tank of gas and must come back with a full tank of gas. We do offer an option to pre-pay for gas, so you do not have to fill it up prior to returning your rental. $50 for a 1/2 day rental and $75 for a full day rental. If you did not purchase the pre-fill up and return the rental not filled up, you will be charged $100. WHO CAN RIDE? The minimum age for our trail rides is 6 years old, no exceptions. Nordic Skiing Our groomed Nordic trails are made up of 7 connected loops, all centering around the core of the Ranch, on the edge of the Buffalo Fork River. We offer over 20 km of groomed ski trails with both classic and skate tracks.

SKI LESSONS AND TOURS Lessons and Tours are 2 hours and take place at Turpin Meadow Ranch. Private or group lessons are available in both skate and classic formats. Our PSIA certified instructors are able to teach basic techniques and skills needed for beginner skiers and can help improve skills and techniques for more advanced skiers. Tours are available for classic skiers and focus less on techniques and more on the winter flora and fauna, ranch history, wildlife, and the stunning landscape we live in. Lessons and Tours Include: Skis, poles and day trail pass.

FAQ WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLASSIC AND SKATE? Classic skiing is a striding motion similar to walking and skate skiing is more like rollerblading or ice skating. They use different tracks and different types of skis. WHAT SHOULD I BRING? Wear warm layers, gloves and a hat. Can my children do lessons and tours? Yes, children are welcome on lessons and tours - for families with children ages 4-10 we require a private lessons and tours. Adults must join the lessons and tours with their children.

Our guided snowshoe tours are 2 hours and your guide shares fascinating insights about the local flora and fauna, pointing out tracks of elk, moose, or even wolves. You'll learn about the ranch's rich history, from its beginnings to its present-day role as a winter paradise. Along the way, your guide highlights the delicate balance of the ecosystem, identifying animal habitats and the unique plants that survive the harsh winters. I’VE NEVER SNOWSHOED BEFORE. IS THAT OKAY? Yes! Our trails are well marked and we will show you how to use the gear. For first time snowshoers we recommend taking a guided tour! WHAT SHOULD I BRING? Winter layers and regular snow boots to fit into the snowshoe. Can my children do a snowshoe tour? Yes, children are welcome on tours - for families with children ages 4-10 we require a private tour. FAQ WHERE DO WE GO? We have over 9 miles of groomed single track dedicated to fat tire bikes. WHAT IS AN E-BIKE? E-bike stands for “electric bicycle.” They are bikes equipped with an electric motor to assist with propulsion. Riders are able to control the level of assistance and speed, allowing for a customized experience. WHAT’S PROVIDED? The bike and a helmet. WHAT SHOULD I BRING? Layers, warm boots, and a water bottle. Who can ride? E-bike riders must be 16 years or older. Our regular bikes are for anyone, but keep in mind that our smallest frame is 14 inches. Winter Wildlife Tour Whether you’re an avid wildlife enthusiast or simply looking to enjoy a unique winter adventure, our Winter Wildlife Tour promises an unforgettable journey through parts of Grand Teton National Park, the National Elk Refuge, and Buffalo Valley. As you explore the snow-covered terrain, your experienced guide helps you spot iconic wildlife such as elk, moose, bison, and big horn sheep in their natural habitats. With the valley blanketed in snow, it's also possible to catch glimpses of predators like coyotes or even elusive wolves as they hunt or roam the area. The crisp winter air and pristine landscapes provide the perfect backdrop for observing these majestic creatures while learning about their behaviors, adaptations, and the ecosystem they thrive in.

FAQ Where does the tour originate? This tour begins at Turpin Meadow Ranch - Transportation is not provided from Jackson to the ranch. WHERE DO WE GO? Our guides will customize each tour based on wildlife sightings, but some places you may stop are Oxbow Bend, Mormon Row, and the Elk Refuge. HOW MUCH DRIVING IS INVOLVED? HOW MUCH WALKING? The tour is about 4hrs long. While there is a lot of time in the van, our guides are sure to stop at plenty of viewpoints and highlights where you’ll get out to stretch your legs and walk around. WHAT’S PROVIDED? Park admission, beverages, and snacks. We also have binoculars, spotting scopes, and lots of educational material for your use. WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
