It is the effect which the healing surroundings, together with Method Putkisto exercises, have upon our bodies that we all appreciate – and are always amazed about!

I have developed Method Putkisto to teach you how to work on your own body to reach your optimum physical performance. After all, when your body is balanced you are free to move, be yourself and perform any task in life effortlessly!

We would like to give you the opportunity of learning a new way of looking after your wellbeing. Method Putkisto teaches you how to achieve an energized, leaner, lifted and stronger core and the tools to reshape your whole body.

This will be a week committed to unwinding from the effects of stress. A correctly chosen progression of exercises, high quality nutrition and rest (with a bit of fun and laughter) which leads to recuperation and ultimately to the balanced body and mind.

MARJA PUTKISTO Marja Putkisto is the founder and creative force behind the internationally acclaimed exercise and wellbeing programme brand, Method Putkisto. She is a producer, teacher, lecturer and author. She is also the founder and director of the Method Putkisto Institute that trains professional instructors and offers tailormade wellbeing programmes to clients. Her work has received an award from the Finnish Government.

What is METHOD

Sometimes rest is not enough to fully recuperate the body.

Method Putkisto is a precise and specific teaching technique focusing essentially on deep stretching, strengthening and breathing exercises to realign and free your body leaving you feeling light, lean and lifted.

Method Putkisto highlights the consequences of shallow breathing and tightness and shortness in the muscles. It shows how by simply elongating short muscles through deep stretching and breathing you can free the body to its neutral position and optimum balance. It is a simple yet effective way to recover from stress and recuperate your body.

METHOD PUTKISTO BREAK This is an ultimate detoxifying, muscle rebalancing and energizing break.

It is excellent for stress release and relaxation. The deep stretching, strengthening and breathing exercises will lift your posture and give you freedom of movement.

When mastering the Method, the results are measurable and visible. You can free yourself from muscular tension, tightness and discomfort and feel greater freedom of movement, increased energy levels and a greater sense of wellbeing. This break is suitable for everyone who is interested in improving their wellbeing; new as well as our returning guests. If you travel on your own, with a friend or partner, you will find like-minded people on the break. All ages and fitness levels are welcome.

Note: Please contact us if you have any specific questions or issues you think would be useful for your instructor to know before the break. You will be asked to complete a health questionnaire prior to the break.

NUTRITIONAL SUPPORT All the food is biodynamic and locally grown. There will be guidelines for the guests who wish to support the process nutritionally. Delicious, specially mixed alkalizing drink in the mornings.

Sunday 11.00 - 12.00 Introduction to the Method Putkisto week and the Method Putkisto Team followed by the taking of 'before' photographs and measurements for those interested in following the progression in their posture and body shape.

12.00 - 18.00 Free time to relax at the hotel, enjoy the Spa or explore the region 18.00 – 20.00 MP Body - Session - 'feel the difference’.

Wednesday Is a dedicated day for recuperation. The morning session will be provided for those who would benefit from repeating previously learned material. This is the perfect day for those who wish to have a full day of rest or take time for sightseeing. There will also be the complimentary boat trip.

Friday 08.00 (08.30) - 10.00 Method Putkisto Face Session, 25 minutes, followed by BODY work 10.00 - 11.00 Breakfast 11.00 - 18.00 Free time to relax at the hotel 18.00-2000

Consolidation session, followed by the 'After' photographs and final measurements for those who wish to measure some of their results.

20.30 - 21.30 Dinner - Method Putkisto team and guests together

Saturday A morning to relax followed by return to the UK or continue holiday with a coastal break.
