LOW-INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS (LiHEAP)

LiHEAP is a federally funded program that helps low-income households pay their energy bill with a one-time payment of up to hundreds of dollars. Last year over 2,000 TID customers received an average payment of $393 in LiHEAP assistance. In response to the COVID pandemic, Congress has allocated more money to the LiHEAP program which may be available to you. LiHEAP is administered locally by the following agencies: • Salvation Army Turlock: 209-669-5366 / Modesto: 209-900-8092 / Delhi: 209-383-4225 • Merced County Community Action Agency - 209-723-4565 • Central Valley Opportunity Center - Modesto: 209-537-9217 / Ceres: 209-338-0004

TID CARES PROGRAM

TID offers the CARES Rate Assistance Program to eligible low-income customers. CARES offers a monthly discount on your electricity bill. To qualify, customers need to meet the income guidelines as well as provide a proof of total monthly gross income and copy of identification or social security cards for all adults in the home. TID MEDICAL RATE

If you or another full-time resident in your home must regularly use a medical life-support device, or if your medical condition requires special heating or air conditioning in order to sustain life, you may qualify for our Medical Rate Assistance Program.
