A Memo from the General Manager Eric Edwards
Like many of you, I am very excited for this upcoming season! If you are searching for a new club or just starting out in competitive soccer, we hope that you find this magazine helpful in understanding that we take pride in our club, our culture of loving kids, our desire to develop kids to play soccer at the highest level, and our commitment in providing the best soccer club environment in Tulsa through our unbelievably talented coaching staff and amazing soccer facility!
Below is just a quick summary of this current year’s success on both the boys and girl’s side of our club.
The girl’s side ages 13-19 years old had 6 players invited to the US National Team ID Center and so far this year we have over 18 seniors committed to play college soccer next year! The girls ECNL teams have the chance to qualify 3 teams for the ECNL playoffs in Seattle, WA and our 2011 girls ECNL Regional League team will be the first girls RL team to ever qualify for the Regional League playoffs in Plano, Texas.
The girl’s academy teams, ages 9-12 years old, won the state’s largest competitive league, called the Oklahoma Premier League, in both the 2012 and 2013 age groups topflight divisions! With all the girl’s academy teams combined, they won a whopping 22 tournaments and had another 16 tournaments where they finished 2nd!
The boy’s side ages 13-19 years old had 7 players invited to the US National Team ID Center and so far this year we have had 12 seniors committed to play college soccer next year! The boys ECNL teams have the chance to qualify 2 teams for ECNL playoffs in San Diego, CA and our 2010 boys ECNL Regional League team will be the first boys RL team to ever qualify for the Regional League playoffs in Plano, Texas.
The boys Academy teams, ages 9-12 years old, also won the state’s largest competitive league, called the Oklahoma Premier League, in the 2013 age group topflight division and our 2012 team played up in the U13 division and finished 3rd! With all the boys academy teams combined, they won an astounding 24 tournaments and had another 13 tournaments where they finished 2nd!
The club has not just experienced success this year on the field, but off the field as well. The club announced a long-term lease with the newly renovated Jenks Sports Complex for all of our gameday and training needs. The facility boasts twelve 11v11 fields including two turf fields and 3 9v9 fields including one 9v9 turf field. This facility will allow of our teams to train on a half of field and when the grass fields are closed due to rain, we are still able to train all teams scheduled that night on our turf fields.
I hope you find this magazine informative and provides you additional excitement in either staying or joining our club to compete in soccer for this upcoming 2024-2025 season! The unpredictable nature of tryouts such as not knowing how many spots are available or who the competition is can heighten anxiety levels.
Before delving into strategies for minimizing stress during soccer tryouts, it's important to understand the myriad of pressures that can weigh heavily on players and their families. The desire to succeed, coupled with the fear of failure, creates a potent cocktail of stress.
Players often feel immense pressure to perform at their best to secure a coveted spot on the team, leading to heightened anxiety and self-doubt. Additionally, external expectations from family members, coaches, and peers can exacerbate this stress, adding to the burden of meeting lofty standards.
Moreover, the uncertainty surrounding tryouts, such as not knowing the number of available spots or the level of competition, further fuels anxiety levels. OPEN COMMUNICATION:
Encourage open communication between family members and the player. Let them know that it's okay to feel nervous and that their worth is not solely determined by the outcome of the tryout.
SET REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS:
Help the player set realistic goals for the tryout. Emphasize the importance of giving their best effort rather than solely focusing on making the team.
FOCUS ON EFFORT AND IMPROVEMENT:

That’s a place every soccer player should be.
TSC has been a big part of our family for the last 4 years. The coaches and directors have an unparalleled heart for teaching the kids the game that they love. They coach with passion and encourage the kids to be better every day. Integrity and respect are high priority for the TSC staff when interacting with the players and parents. My children have undoubtedly improved in their skills and understanding of the game under the leadership of TSC and never want to miss a practice or a game. We are fortunate to play in arguably the best conference in the US ( Texas). Our players are rostered between 2 platforms the ECNL and RL where players have the opportunity to develop into perspective college student athletes.
The league is a club based and we have 2 Teams at every age group who compete at home and travel together. ( 12 teams )
This concept truly helps develop players within our club system both on the training fields and weekend competition.
I feel the ECNL is "developmental league for our Players and Coaches.

NEW TEAMS BEING FORMED IN 2024 FALL FOR THE 24/25 SEASON
Our mission is to collect new and gently-used sports equipment and clothing for children in need, as well as to raise and donate funds to help kids participate in sporting events ...so everyone can play.
After moving away from Titan, going to Jenks Sports Complex, we have lost our benevolence room.
But we are very passionate about sharing and passing it along, so we found an alternative way to continue to support kids that want to play soccer but can't afford all the cost involved with it
