Before attending law school I spent some time in the Air Force. I was fortunate to serve during a time of relative peace – after the Gulf War and before 9/11.

Unlike many others, I never served in a combat role.

But this month when we recognize veterans, I wanted to share some thoughts on how we as lawyers can express gratitude – not by uttering words, but by living up to the high standards of professionalism we have in common – to the men and women who willingly place themselves in harm’s way.

My first assignment after graduating Officer Training School was Altus AFB, Oklahoma. Being a short drive from Norman, where I did my undergraduate degree at OU, left my dream of joining the Air Force and seeing the world unfulfilled. Perhaps the officer in charge of assignments thought I could get a good view of the world from its edge. In any event, it didn’t take long to overcome my initial disappointment. I ultimately built great friendships, gained valuable experience, and have fond memories of my time in Altus. Given the small community in which we lived, our commanders frequently reminded us of the importance of conducting 2 Tulsa Lawyer

ourselves professionally at all times – on and off duty.

A trip to either of the two bars in town would inevitably lead to encounters with subordinates and superiors.

Any rowdy or inappropriate behavior could result in disciplinary action.

It is a fundamental tenet of modern Air Force doctrine that all airmen - like all soldiers, sailors, and marines - belong to the “profession of arms.” They are held to a higher standard than their civilian counterparts.

They are not engaged in just another job. They are required to place the needs of their service and their country before their own. They qualify as professionals through their training, education, and experience, and are defined by their strength of character, respect for others, and commitment to core values. 1 This view that the military belongs in the ranks of the classic professions, including the clergy, medicine, and law, is relatively new, but it makes sense. The profession of arms possesses all the characteristics of other recognized professions, including an ethical code and a professional ethos.2 Members of the armed forces The Profession of Arms: Our Core Values (2022) (a/k/a the “Blue Book”).

are accountable for meeting ethical and performance standards in their actions and similarly accountable for their failure to take action when appropriate.

At first blush, it might be hard to see much similarity between the profession of the law and the profession of arms. For one thing, armed conflict involves the justified use of violence and lethal force to achieve an objective. As lawyers, we are bound to pursue legitimate interests through zealous advocacy while maintaining a “courteous and civil attitude toward all persons involved in the legal system.”3 The use of violence and force has no place in our profession.

In addition, the legal profession doesn’t ask us to risk our lives in service of the law, but that is what the profession of arms readily expects from its members.

Despite these differences, there is an overriding similarity. Both professions require a higher standard of conduct. For example, Article 133 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice provides that “Any commissioned officer, cadet, or midshipman who is convicted of conduct unbecoming an officer shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.”4 Rule 8.4(d) of the Rules of Professional Conduct for lawyers provides that “It is professional misconduct for a lawyer to engage in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice.” These standards - “conduct unbecoming an officer” and “conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice” – share a similar imprecision. They both contemplate an unwritten or understood standard of conduct woven into the fabric of the respective professions. Courts have recognized that meaning is supplied to these phrases through things like “long-standing customs and usages”5 and the “lore of the profession.”6 In my mind, the similarity is neatly summed up in the idea that allowing bad officers to serve undermines good order and discipline in the military just like allowing bad lawyers to practice law

negatively affects the administration of justice. We should accept neither.

The quote from President Kennedy above comes from a 1963 Thanksgiving Day proclamation in which he gave thanks “for the ideals of honor and faith we inherit from our forefathers – for the decency of purpose, steadfastness of resolve and strength of will, for the courage and the humility, which they possessed and which we must seek every day to emulate.”7 It strikes me as equally applicable to our expression of gratitude to veterans. Parades and heartfelt speeches that honor our veterans are meaningful ways to recognize their contributions and sacrifices. Perhaps a 3 Oklahoma Rules of Prof'l. and text – an apparent acknowledgment that “gentleman” was surplusage that added nothing meaningful to the standards required of officers and was, at a minimum, awkward in its application to female officers.

Recognizing Women Veterans Diana E. Cupps

Firm/Organization: Diana Cupps Law, LLC Family: I have raised children, and they are good people! I regret nothing. Marriage at 20 is nothing like marriage at 41, but both carry great lessons.

When and what branch did you serve? Active U.S. Army 1993 to 1997 and Texas Army National Guard 1998-1999 and 2002-2004.

How has your service impacted your career choice? I don’t know that my military service necessarily impacted my career choice as much as it taught me how to face my fears regardless of career choice. I have carried those “courage in the face of fear” lessons with me in each job I have done throughout my life. First as a medical lab tech and blood donor center specialist in the Army, and then as a registered nurse in the civilian sector, I had ample opportunity to learn the rewards that choosing to live a life of courage brings.

I learned how to advocate for those unable to advocate for themselves as I worked in emergency departments across Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma as a travel nurse.

As for being a lawyer, I didn’t really “choose” to be a lawyer as much as it chose me. I lost both my parents within a year of 6 Tulsa Lawyer

each other when I was in my late twenties and had to litigate a land dispute due to poorly kept records and no estate planning.

Then in my late thirties, I went through my own divorce and custody battle. It was in the middle of that experience that I felt there must be a better way, and shortly thereafter, I chose to go to law school to figure it out. After I healed from that experience and passed the bar, I felt called to help people through what can be the most traumatic experience a person will ever go through but doesn’t necessarily have to be.

How long have you been practicing law and what are your practice areas? I graduated from TU Law in 2020 and spent about a year and a half working for a firm doing mostly medical malpractice case preparation. I opened my own firm the following year and now practice mostly family law, including guardianship and adoption cases. This year in July, I attended the American Bar Association Family Law Section Trial Advocacy Institute in at the University of Kansas City, Missouri School of Law. I also became a certified family mediator through the training offered by the Oklahoma Supreme Court through Early Settlement Alternative Dispute Resolution because I feel like being well versed in both litigation and mediation make me better able to meet each client’s individual needs.

What do you like most about being a lawyer? What I like most about being a lawyer is helping people feel understood and like they have a voice. And, secondly, dismantling lawyer stereotypes!

What has been your biggest professional achievement? I don’t know that I have—or necessarily aspire to—any “big achievements” as an attorney but opening my own firm and hiring my first full-time employee within the first eighteen months is something I am proud of. (The fact that she loves working with me makes me very proud indeed!) I find my joy in the small, private achievements that I get for each client’s personal case. Those are “big” for me.

What is your passion outside of work and the law? Outside of work, I am most passionate about staying physically active, flexible, and strong, working on self-improvement, and making sure my environment is one that is peaceful and brings balance.

What is the best advice you have ever received? “Stay in school and study hard.” – mom.

How long have you been a TCBA member? Since August or September 2017.

Has your career benefited from being a member of the TCBA? My career benefits from being a member of TCBA because of the many sections and committees available to me. There is always a CLE being offered.

The TCBA Family Law Section, in particular, offers mentorship and guidance that I find very beneficial.

If you could spend the day with one attorney/judge, dead or alive, who would it be and why? Judge Robert Jackson, writing for the court in West Virginia State Board vs. Barnette (1942), because of the line, “If there is any fixed star in our constitutional constellation, it is that no official, high or petty, can prescribe what shall be orthodox in politics, nationalism, religion, or other matters of opinion, or force citizens to confess by word or act their faith therein.” I find it particularly poignant now.

What is your favorite book, movie, or television show?

This is the hardest question to answer. Catcher in the Rye was the first book I read which felt to me like the author had crawled inside my teenaged head and read some of my thoughts. For that reason, I always think of it when asked this question. Surely, I have experienced superior books to that one, but I cannot remember what they are. A Time to Kill is a fantastic movie and would rate among my favorites, both because of the fantastic closing argument and the fact that it was delivered by— Matthew McConaughey! I also loved The Help, anything with Tom Hanks, and all of Jim Carrey’s comedies. There are too many great television shows to pick just one, but among my favorites are classics Friends and How I Met Your Mother, dark dramas Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, and Sons of Anarchy, the legal drama Suits, and Mad Men. Tell us a fun fact that no one knows about you! So, this one time, in Las Vegas, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith was on stage, and he stopped singing momentarily, looked straight at me, and asked ME a question. You will have to ask me personally for the rest of that story!

What is your favorite food?

My homecooked enchiladas—ask Caleb Beacham!

Anita O'Daniel What got you interested in law and what areas of practice are you interested in? Between my experience as an Itinerant Teacher of the Deaf and, more personally, my experiences as a disabled Veteran, I became interested in the law to learn the rights of my students and myself. I am incredibly interested in Veterans law, as well as disability and civil rights law.

What has been the biggest lesson you’ve learned in pursuit of your license? Everyone isn’t on the same path, so your biggest competition is yourself.

What is your passion outside of school and the law? I love art. I paint, go to galleries, and hangout with friends who create art in different spaces!

What is the best advice you have ever received? The best advice I have received so far in my career is to make sure I am taking care of myself – going to therapy, having hobbies, etc.

Making time for myself and my family has been easier through school after hearing from an attorney of 18 years that our career field weighs heavily on each of us.

I served in the U.S. Air Force from 2012 to 2014.

How has your service impacted your career choice? My service has made me into an avid advocate for other Veterans, specifically disabled Veterans, and is directly tied to why I started my journey at TU College of Law.

Has your career path benefited from being a member of the TCBA? Networking within TCBA through member events and committee events has been a huge benefit to being a member!

Tell us a fun fact that no one knows about you! Because I have an undergraduate degree in Deaf Education, I know quite a bit of American Sign Language.

What is your favorite food?

I love good, authentic Mexican food.

Mary Leavell prosecutor. She manages deprived and delinquent dockets and states that it is truly the day-to-day impacts on children’s lives that keep her in public service.

Outside of being an attorney, her passions are being a mom and being outdoors doing activities like kayaking, hiking, and being a proud “dog mom.”

Mary Leavell currently serves as an Assistant District Attorney. For Mary, service in the military was generational.

Her dad, brothers, and grandfathers served, but no woman on either side of her family were in the military before her.

She served in the Air Force from 2013-2021 as a security forces member. Mary states that her service in the Air Force has helped her relate to the police in her dayto-day work as a prosecutor. Having law enforcement experience not only helps her with relating to victims and police, but also in her perspective at work. She graduated from law school in 2017 but she was deployed after law school. She took the bar exam and began practicing in 2019.

Mary loves helping people, making a difference, and having an impact on those around her. This is not only why she joined the Air Force, but also why she is a

The best advice she ever received was that being a prosecutor was never about winning but about doing the right thing. Throughout both her work in the military and as a prosecutor, she has stayed true to her pursuit of justice.

When asked if she could meet any attorney or judge, she stated that she would want to meet Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Mary states that she admires RBG for what she did for women’s rights.

A fun fact that no one knows about her is that she was in the background on food network and had to pose with food. When asked her favorite book, she stated “Can’t Hurt Me” by David Goggins. She stated that Goggins was raised in poverty and was a victim of child abuse but transformed himself to be the only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force Tactical Air Controller. She states it is stories like Goggins that motivate her every day to serve underprivileged children as a prosecutor, as she knows the potential that lies within them.

Valerie Evans Valerie Evans served from 1982 to 2004 in the US Army National Guard rising to the rank of Major.

Ms. Evans was raised in a family who served this country. Both her sister and father served in the United States Air Force. Her father served over twenty-three years and her sister being medically discharged after seven years. Ms. Evans stated that when she was in the sixth grade, she knew she wanted to be a lawyer, specifically a JAG officer. She never attained that goal of serving as a JAG officer, but served her time as an administrative officer, as an ordinance officer in charge of repairs of vehicles and weapons, Selective Service Reserve Officer and Inspector General.

Valerie went to law school and married a police officer who has been in law enforcement as long as she has been an attorney. Both having served the community for thirty

years. Ms. Evans joined when she was just 17 years old.

When asked who she would meet if she could meet any lawyer, she stated she would meet Barbara Jordan. Ms. Jordan was the first Black senator from Texas since Reconstruction and was the keynote speaker for the Democratic National Convention in 1976. Ms. Evans watched Senator Jordan speak at that address, and it forever changed the trajectory of her life. It was then she decided she would go to law school and serve as a JAG officer.

Ms. Evans now runs her own firm, Law Offices of Valerie Evans, where she manages mostly workers’ compensation cases and is a general practitioner. Ms. Evans is a mother and grandmother. The thing she is most passionate about, outside of work, is her family. Her favorite thing about being a lawyer is serving people. She says her most rewarding cases are when her she is able to attain a positive result for her clients, especially those injured on the job and the employer denied their claims.

The best advice she has ever been given was to “be true to yourself.” Ms. Evans states her favorite book is the Bible and she reads it daily. A fun fact about Ms. Evans is that she and her husband of thirty three years met on a blind date, and they were married six months from their first date.

Stephanie Milburn Attorney Stephanie Milburn serves both in a civilian role with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, as well as continuing to serve in the military with the U.S. Army Reserves.

She served just under ten years in the US Army Reserves as a Judge Advocate.

Stephanie is married to Tom Milburn and has two daughters, Clair and Vivian. Ms. Milburn was already an attorney when she began her military career, as a result, she was influenced to work at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Her civilian practice focuses on labor and employment law, federal contract disputes, contract formation and administration, procurement fraud, tort claims, and many other areas. Ms. Milburn enjoys the art of litigation and trial practice as well as helping her client be informed and navigate difficult decisions pre-litigation.

Her biggest passion outside of work is her family.

Ms. Milburn’s husband, who is also a retired police officer and Navy reservist, helped inspire her career path by having her look not at the next five to ten years of her career plan, but to consider what she wanted her every day to look like in the office. It was there she realized she loved working in truly functional and supportive teams.

If Ms. Milburn could spend a day with any judge or attorney, her answer was two-fold. She first would love to spend a day with David L. Moss. She says that although she never met him, she admired his loyalty, supportiveness, and litigation experience, all of which are legendary in Tulsa County. She also stated she would have loved to have had a chance to appear before Honorable Judge Hopper. She remarked that, “just to have been berated by him would put me in good stead with many other accomplished Tulsa County Attorneys.”

When asked what one thing no one knows about her, she stated that while working through college she had a job as the mascot Michigan J. Frog for the local Warner Brother’s TV Station. She appeared in parades and at various trade shows and business events. She had two costumes, a “fancy” one and an “everyday” costume (that one was less formal).

Jordan Kimball-Phillips understanding of what advocacy looks like when standing up for those who cannot speak for themselves. Ms. KimballPhillips passed the bar in February of 2023, and was sworn in May of 2023. She is currently assigned to the Juvenile Bureau on the Indian Child Welfare Docket. In this role, she is charged with protecting abused and neglected children and pursuing the juvenile bureau’s goal to reunify families safely.

Ms. Kimball-Phillips feels like she is making a genuine difference in our community every single day.

Her biggest professional achievement to date is trusting her gut and working with several entities to reunify a family, and fulfilling the goal of the Juvenile Bureau. In her spare time, she enjoys doing jiu jitsu and spending time with “her boys”.

Jordan Kimball-Phillips currently serves as an Assistant District Attorney in Tulsa County. She is married to Felix Phillips, and they have a sixteen-year-old son, Felix Jr. She first joined the U.S. Army Reserves in 2012, and she currently is a Sergeant in the 486th Civil Affairs Battalion.

Ms. Kimball-Phillps states that her service in the Army made her want to become an advocate for others, leading her to attend law school. During her service she was charged with civil affairs, which focuses on building civil relations with populations and acting as a liaison through humanitarian efforts. While in the civil affairs unit, she gained a deeper

The best advice she has ever been given is that you cannot pour out of an empty cup. Ms. Kimball-Phillips states that if she could meet any judge, she would meet the Honorable Judge Diane J. Humetewa, the first female Native American federal judge. She states she would love to hear her insight regarding the Indian Child Welfare Act and her experiences leading up to becoming a federal judge. She unwinds by watching The Office, and her favorite food is birria tacos, which she can actually make herself.

Finally, she states that her most interesting fact about herself is that she could eat sheet cake with every meal.

Is Donald Trump Ineligible to Run for Re-election in November 2024?

By Tamara R. Piety There is one Trump legal issue that you may not have heard of, but it may, in the end prove to be the most important one. That is the claim that Donald Trump is ineligible to serve as president again because Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution prohibits anyone who has engaged in “insurrection of rebellion” or given “aid or comfort” to those who have from holding office again.

Several lawsuits1 have been filed, in various states,2 alleging that the secretary of those states should strike Trump’s name from the ballot, or not produce a ballot with his name on it, because he is supposedly ineligible to serve.

Oklahoma is one of the states where a case has been filed. Someone by the name of John Anthony Castro, who claims to be “actively competing” against Trump for the nomination of the Republican Party for President, filed a verified complaint, pro se, in the Western District of Oklahoma3 in early September.

Given the former President’s many legal woes, it is easy to understand how this one very important issue has become somewhat lost in the weeds.4 There has been some

reporting on it, but coverage has tended to be sparse. So many people missed it. Whether or not you missed it, you may be asking yourself whether there is anything to these claims.

The answer is yes. While that answer might be cheering to Trump’s opponents, his supporters have some strong counter-arguments related to the appropriateness of this sort of remedy to the problem presented by his candidacy.

Let’s first deal with the arguments for prohibiting Trump from running. An array of prominent legal scholars, mostly conservative, have argued that the 14th Amendment bars Donald Trump from running again for president because Section 3 of that Amendment provides that: No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice president, or hold any office, civil, or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each house, remove such disability.

This argument was apparently first raised in a blockbuster law review article that generated much more comment than law reviews generally do because the authors were conservative professors William Baude, of the University of Chicago, and Michael Stokes Paulsen, of the University of St. Thomas. In their article, slated to appear in the University of Pennsylvania Law Review (but available for download now on SSRN https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/ papers.cfm?abstract_id=4532751 ) , entitled, The Sweep and Force of Section Three, they argue that Donald Trump’s role in trying to overturn the results of the election and encouragement of the January 6th insurrectionists constitute

Micheal Luttig, the former 4th Circuit Court judge and respected conservative jurist, and Laurence Tribe, the Harvard Law Professor and the preeminent constitutional law scholar of his time, echo Baud and Paulson’s conclusions and claim that Section 3 is “selfexecuting” just as the other limitations, minimum age of 35 and “natural born” citizen are; that is, they do not require a judgment against Trump to be operative.

Here is where Mr. Trump’s supporters may find some comfort: the law of gravity is “self-executing,” but legal rules rarely are. Someone must act on them, to treat them as authoritative by acting or declining to act on the strength of them. And in our current political climate the chances of one or more states declining to act without an adjudication against Mr. Trump that he is guilty of insurrection., whether because they are persuaded by some counter arguments (that aren’t that strong), or simply for prudential reasons, are very high. And while it is possible that such an adjudication will be forthcoming before the election -- it is going to be tight – at least as it appears now. But for the primaries, the timing is even tighter. It seems very unlikely that a verdict against Trump will come down before the first primary. Indeed, it is not certain that even with a verdict against him, every state’s official would be willing to strike him from the ballot. That might be a good thing, no matter how you feel about Trump if what you are left with is a hodge podge of rulings of whether Trump can be on the ballot. That seems administratively unmanageable.

A large portion of the electorate is highly mistrustful of official governmental pronouncements – even those from courts. If Trump is to be disqualified from the presidency based on Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, it seems like an adjudication of guilt of insurrection is a prudential, if not necessary first step to striking him from the ballot.

TCBA COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT On Saturday, October 7, volunteers from the Tulsa County Bar Association met at the Fostering Connections Resource Center and helped get all of their Halloween donations sorted, hung by size, and displayed in the store. What started out as a mountain of boxes and bags filled with Halloween costumes, décor, and accessories was turned into a display of Halloween items that foster families can shop from at no cost. Volunteers saw several families leave with happy children who had just selected their costumes and are now ready for trick-ortreating. A big thank you to our volunteers: Caitlin Getchell, Emilee Morris Ratcliff, Tim Gilpin, Yuji Ide, Maureen Knudson, Diana Cox, and Tami Williams.

Kaylind Landes will lead discussion in April of Go Set a Watchman,

These novels are intertwined.

Kaylind graduated with honors from the Kaylind Landes University of Tulsa where she participated in the Energy Law Journal and the health law moot court team. She received an award for the highest grade in Indian Gaming Law and the Order of the Barristers as a top ten student in law school. She served as assistant district attorney in the Tulsa and Rogers County District Attorney Offices. In those offices, Kaylind worked in every aspect of criminal prosecution from charging cases to jury trials. Kaylind works at the Tulsa DUI Guy with primary focus on defending misdemeanor DUI cases. New District Judge Sworn In October 16th

Governor Kevin Stitt appointed Special Judge Richard Hathcoat to fill the Tulsa District Judge vacancy left by Judge James Huber, who was appointed to the Oklahoma State Court of Civil Appeals this past Spring. Judge Hathcoat was sworn in by the Presiding Judge-Elect, Dawn Moody, on Monday, October 16th. TCBA President Mike Esmond presented Judge Hathcoat with a ceremonial gavel on behalf of the Bar Association.

Hall Estill has announced the addition of associate Taylor R. Wewers to its Tulsa office.

Wewers joins Hall Estill’s litigation practice following her graduation from the University of Notre Dame Law School in May. In 2021, Taylor served as an intern for the Honorable Claire V. Eagan in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, while in 2019 she served as a John Paul Hammerschmidt Research Fellow in the United States House of Representatives.

Courthouse Changes: Darrah Haworth Day & Tamara Piety Changes around the Tulsa County Court recently with the exit of Darrah Haworth Day and entrance of Tamara Piety in the role of bailiff for the Hon. Daman Cantrell.

Darrah Haworth Day joined Judge Cantrell’s office in October 2016, and she finished her time in September 2023, just a few days shy of seven years. “Being Judge Cantrell’s bailiff and law clerk was a unique and invaluable experience for me. I learned so much during my time with him.” Day received her B.A. in English from Loyola University, New Orleans, before earning her J.D. at TU Law, where she competed with AAJ and NTC Mock Trial teams, competed in Board of Advocates competitions, won CALI awards for Agency and Partnership, and Bioethics, as well as 1st Place in the Edge Criminal Law Closing Competition. Also, Day was recognized on both the Dean’s and Faculty Honor Rolls during her time at TU Law. Discussing some of memories of her experiences with Judge Cantrell, she remarked that “I observed dozens of trials and countless hearings, worked on several difficult non-jury trials, had opinions I drafted affirmed on appeal seven times, became well versed in discovery issues (via heaps of motions to compel), learned the ins and outs of the courthouse and civil procedure, and I got to serve as a mentor and supervisor to several interns and externs.” Darrah continued in saying that “I am extremely grateful to Judge Cantrell for the opportunity and his mentorship. I will greatly miss working for him!”

Robert Don Gifford, a member of the Cherokee Nation, has been re-appointed to another term as Chief Judge for the Kaw Nation Tribal Court. Mr. Gifford also serves as a tribal court judge for the Seminole Nation, Comanche Nation, Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma, Absentee-Shawnee Tribe, Miami Tribe of Oklahoma, and the Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas. Mr. Gifford also maintains a federal criminal defense and civil rights practice in both Tulsa and Oklahoma City.

Discussing this transition with Piety, she stated that “I look forward to seeing the operation of a trial court up close.

Already, I would say that my first observation is massive respect for Judge Cantrell and his ability to make the right calls so quickly, when, a lot of times, you have to just rely on your own memory and what the lawyers are arguing.” Asked about former students who appear in the courtroom, she looks “forward to seeing some of my former students in court and getting more involved in the Tulsa Bar.” In terms of challenges, Piety remarked that “this opportunity came up because Darrah was leaving”, and, while Piety’s only been there few weeks in this role, she found it very interesting stepping in when a major jury trial was beginning, despite the long hours. “Judge's court reporter, Brenda Hassan, and our office guru, Pam, have been so very helpful to me… they are a pleasure to work with, as is Judge Cantrell. That may be the best part of the job. The people. And seeing the people we have working in different roles in government and the seriousness with which our jury seemed to take their roles, it also is kind of uplifting. Gives me renewed faith in my fellow citizens!” Welcome to your new role, and, while Darrah will certainly be missed, we look forward to seeing Tamara around the courthouse and the TCBA.
