The Way We Were - The Way We Will Be
The OBA has decided to bring back the live version of ASK-A-LAWYER on September 30th, 2021 at the Tulsa OETA studio downtown (where it has been held for the last 6 years). THE WAY WE WERE……
In past years/decades, we did not pay much attention to the number of phones used, their distance from each other or the condition of the handsets being used over and over by different Attorneys without sanitizing. THE WAY WE WILL BE……
Hopefully, all or most of us will have been vaccinated by that time. (I certainly have been already) Notwithstanding this, we will be implementing some continuing safety precautions to encourage participation. For our Tulsa Attorney volunteers, here is the basic setup as I have envisioned it: • We will only use 6 phones at a time in Tulsa; • Utilizing the large board room at the OETA, these phones will be at least 6 feet apart. • When a volunteer’s shift is ends every two hours, I will switch out the handset by attaching a handset that hasn't been used during the previous shift. • We have enough spare handsets to replace them for single use until late afternoon, and I will personally sanitize your handet until you are satisfied.
• Food and drink will be provided by the TCBA/
TCBF as always. I encourage anyone with concerns to contact me; we want everyone who comes to feel safe and BE safe.
