Aaron Beck is Tulsa Opera’s Artistic Administrator and Director of Education in addition to his duties as Music Director of Tulsa Opera Signature Chorale and Tulsa Youth Opera.

Under his leadership, Signature Chorale has performed works as varied as Porgy and Bess and the Mozart Requiem and has grown to recognition as the region’s premier orchestral chorus. Beck’s vision saw the 2021 creation of the Tulsa Opera Signature Chorale, merging the artistic work of Tulsa Opera and Signature Symphony at TCC into a flourishing partnership program. Beck’s education work at Tulsa Opera was awarded the Oklahoma Governor’s Arts Award in 2018. He received his Bachelor of Music from Manhattan School of Music and Master of Music from Florida State University.

Tulsa Opera and the Signature Symphony at TCC have partnered to create the Tulsa Opera Signature Chorale, the resident chorus of the Signature Symphony at TCC. This new partnership allows for an increased number of performances for the chorale and adds to Tulsa Opera’s community engagement and music education programs.

Under the new agreement, the chorale will be rehearsing and performing year-round, and both organizations will have access to performance venues, such as TCC’s VanTrease Performing Arts Center for Education and Tulsa Opera’s Laven Sowell Theater.

The Tulsa Opera Signature Chorale consists of Tulsa-area residents who have a passion and talent for vocal performance and desire the opportunity to perform with a professional orchestra. The members of the chorale are selected following an audition process. The Tulsa Opera Signature Chorale’s Music Director is Aaron Beck, Tulsa Opera’s Artistic Administrator and Director of Education.
