OFSP EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
It’s been a very busy year for the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Programs at Tulane. The OFSP team, newly formed and eager to make a difference, not only learned the ropes together but also tackled major projects with determination and success. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our partners who have helped fortify and enhance our community this year We're thrilled to witness the positive impact of the W.A.V.E. Standards of Excellence and the Gallup CliftonStrengths, both initiated this year.
OFSP has significantly ramped up education and prevention efforts in hazing, sexual assault, bystander intervention, and leadership development. This year, we launched the Social Event Training program to equip Social Chairs, House Managers, Risk Chairs, and Presidents with the knowledge to host safe events. Additionally, our new Trash Mitigation Plan has been incorporated into our Social Event policy, resulting in a notable decrease in neighborhood and trash-related reports from our community. We also completely revamped our New Member Splash to ensure that new members were prepared for their experience with resources, met members of different chapter/councils, and had an understanding of the overall Greek experience
A major focus for OFSP has been providing resources that foster student development. With this objective, we created The Current: Greek Guide, Presidents’ Manual, Advisors’ Manual, and Greek Ambassadors’ Manual to better orient, prepare, and support our key officers. We also developed single-sheet overviews of our Social Event Policy and mirror clings with emergency contact information to ensure safer social events. Lastly, we completely rebranded our office’s website and Instagram to better answer questions, celebrate our differences, and update the greater community on OFSP related items.
Though this year was a very eventful year, we were able to learn a lot about the needs of our community. This summer we met as a team to realign our OFSP Strategic Plan, review our Strategy for Tomorrow and All-In strategic items, and outline areas to focus on for the upcoming year. You can find our 2024-2025 goals on the next page then circle back next year to see the outcomes!
