Judas cave - AL AHSA
Registered as world’s heritage by UNESCO in late 2018, Judas Cave or Al Nashab Cave in Alqarah Mountain is well known with cold tempterature inside the cave even during summer that can reach 45 °C
Located 350km away from Riyadh (the Capital City) or 152Km from Dammam, The cave is located in Alqarah Mountain, in Alhofuf city, Al Ahsa region in Eastern Saudi Arabia.
Judas Cave is easily accesible by either car trip or train.

fl icker.com/Reem Bahathiq Th e Cave is consisted of reddish sedimentary rocks, accompanied by limestone, sanstone, marlstone and siltstone and cold air fl ows from inside the cave believed to be the reason the cave has semi-steady temperature during summer.

Historians believed that the cave was once occupied by inhabitants before Islam period in Saudi arabia. Th e inhibitants believed to have good skiil at archery, so that the cave called Alqarah.
Th e cave is connected to a huge strange shape and formation hill with vary sizes caves ,also, there is a big rock above it and it’s carved in wondrous way , in total it has three heads , the fi rst one is to south and look like a woman head , the second one it to the north and look like a man head , the third one between them and look like a lion . Th is mountain still called “ Ra’as Al-Qarah “ which is meant by Arabic geographers . “A divine formation , and human didn’t do anything about that“
Some Filipines commnunity in Saudi Arabia believed that this caved was named Judas Cave, because they believed it is the cave that Judas Iscariot escaped from betrayal and eventual crucifi xion occurred in Jerusalem. Even though the source is unknown.
