The Louisiana State Cup crowns our Louisiana State Champions from 13U through 19U. Our State Champions will represent Louisiana in the US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Tournament and, if successful, at the US Youth Soccer National Championships. Seeding is based on LCSL results. Generally, there will be a Group Play weekend followed by a weekend during which The State Cup Semi-finals and Finals will be played.

Cost

The entry fee for The Louisiana State Cup is $650 per team.

The State Cup Substitution Rule

To be consistent with the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series, LSA applies the NCS Substitution Rule at all age groups 15U and older (see: LSA Policy 306.10). In all State Cup games at 15U and older, each team will be allowed a maximum of 7 substitutions during each half of play and, if needed, during overtime play. After leaving a game during a half of play, the substituted player may not re-enter the game during that same half of play. After leaving the game during overtime play, the substituted player may not re-enter the game. Substitutions may be made with the consent of the referee at any stoppage of play at the State Cup for 15U and older.

Tournament T-Shirts

Fine Designs is the "Official Event Merchandiser of LSA” . They will be present at all Louisiana state tournaments to sell customized event T-shirts and other sports apparel. Fine Designs will establish an online LSA apparel store to handle pre-orders and even post tournament orders.

State Cup Team Medical Release Form / Player Pass Upload

For The State Cup, LSA requires each team to upload a completed Medical Release Form & Player Pass for each player in one file. The upload deadline for each team is due 7 days before the tournament kicks off.

State Cup team Managers / Coaches (or whoever is checking in the team) will still be expected to come to the Tournament Tent on the first day of the event to provide LSA their player passes. While teams will not need to present Medical Release Forms in person, they are required to have the completed form for each player on-site at the event. LSA may look at having check in opportunities available the week before the preliminary weekend.

Log into your Got Sport Account – Click on Team Management – Click on your Team – Click on Team Registration – Click on the Event – Click on the Registration Tab – Click on the Edit button – Then you’ll be able to upload your medical forms and player passes.
