We would like to thank Matthew Hughes MLA, Member for Kalamunda, and Matthew Swinbourn MLC, Member for East Metro Region, for their interest in care leavers’ issues and the quest for fair redress. Mr Swinborn visited Tuart Place in February to attend a National Redress Scheme information session, while Mr Hughes visited us in April to find out more about the Make Redress Right campaign.

Both parliamentarians took time to talk with Tuart Place participants about their concerns regarding access to justice for all survivors of child abuse. Our photos show Matthew Swinborn with Tuart Place Senior Therapist Susy Vaughan; and Matthew Hughes chatting with former child migrant Gordon Grant and Australian-born Ron Elliott.
