SUCCESS

Loyalty Brings Us To The Peak Of Success

" ASK NOT WHAT YOUR COU 'TRY CAN DO FOR YOU, ASK WHAT YOU CAr\ DO FOR YOUR COUNTRY . "

This quotation by John Fitzgerald Kennedy establishes the love of loyalty that this great man had in his country and ours . We too will endeavor to show the loyalty Setonians possess for our school throughout the pages of this book

Loyal Hand Make Light Work

It is with deep regret that we call to mind the passing of Mr . Alfredo Robles on October 26, 1967. Mr . Robles had been a faithful bu::> driver for us for four year::> . etonians offer their ::>incerest pr<ly ers for him and are grateful for the remembrance of his cheery words.

With his usual smile, we sec Mr Joseph M artincz doing one of many tasks that need to be done.
10
This year Mrs. Loretta Dingledine came to us to relieve the burden of secretarial work that mounts up in the office. R.I.P. Keeping the shrubbery and lawns well tended is Mr. Raul Montano's job. Also added to our staff of maintenance workers this year is Alfredo Carcaga, a fine and able alumnus.

Saint Mary's lends a willing hand

The Class of '68 has reached the climax of education at Seton -the Senior year-and vvith it rewarding experiences. During the past four years the Seniors have expressed continued loyalty to the school and its ideals; they have participated actively and eagerly in functions both scholastic and social The scope of their knowledge has widened as evidenced by the Senior names on Honor Roll and membership in the ational Honor Society . A very successful Junior-Senior Prom and good participation in the patron and magazine campaigns are points in favor of this small but mighty Senior group

Through these and other accomplishments the Seniors have grown in wisdom and maturity and now prepare to face the challenges of the outside world with a vigorous spint. As the last moments of that eventful night of graduation approach, each Senior will remember his years as a Setonian and will hope to use these memories as guide lines for his future .

Loyal Service Rendered

Our principal, Father Peter McGloin, who has served Seton faithfully for the past twelve years, left u:s in February to accept the ne\V office of the Superintendent of Catholic Education in the Tucson Diocese. All Setonians will miss Father's cheery smile and pleasant words and hope he will return often.

While Setonians were sad to see Father McGloin leave, we eagerly joined in welcoming Father William Eigel to our school in the capacities of Vice-Principal, religion teacher and sports' director. We trust Father will feel at home at Seton.

Father Eigel and seniors Roger Lawrence and Michael Ellison admire the trophies the school and these boys received at the Invitational Basketball Tournament arranged by Father.

The Seniors show their appreciation to Father :-..1cGloin by presenting him with a small farewell party in their last religion class with him. Pierre VanDendriessche, a foreign exchange student from Belgium is greeted by Lucy Rodarte and Father McGloin.
