Dear Friends,
Welcome back! I hope your summer was refreshing and meaningful. Before we jump into the excitement of fall, let’s celebrate three of our amazing May graduates:
Trinity Vann, Trinity Gourdin, and Kendyl Fletcher. Your hard work and perseverance inspire us all— congratulations!
CAMPUS OUTREACH
This summer, Ty’Carien Young represented the TSU Wesley Foundation as an At-Large Lay Delegate at Annual Conference in Collierville, TN. We traveled there excited about the theme, “More Than We Can Imagine” (Ephesians 3:20–21), which reminded us of God’s limitless power at work in us. We attended worship, workshops, the ministry fair, a campus ministry gathering, and shared joyful moments with servant leaders across our conference. Thank you, Ty, for representing us so well
I also had the privilege of traveling to Italy with colleagues from Vanderbilt Divinity School for a summer symposium on Black Diasporic Life, the Arts, and Religion. We explored what it means to live meaningfully and creatively in a dynamic and somewhat volatile world conversations that are already shaping our fall programming.
Check out our calendar for upcoming events and be sure to join us for our Open House + Day Party on Friday, August 22 from 4–7 PM @ The Wesley! The Holy Smokers will be on the grill and DJ Cori Marcus will keep the vibes going. Then, we’ll be at McKendree UMC August 23, 2025, at 7:00 pm for the Summer Rooftop Series with the Quentin Michael Dickerson Music Group.
We’ve got a full, exciting semester ahead and we can’t wait to see you.
Don’t be a stranger!
With joy,
Rev. Amy E. Steele, PhD
