SEAY-HUBBARD UMC GIFT TSU WESLEY LEADERS
Our student leaders are always excited about the long-term support from the United Methodist women of Clark United Methodist Church, Patterson United Methodist Church and Seay-Hubbard UMC. We are thrilled about the newly formed UMW of Christ UMC who recently sent cards of encouragement to students this semester! Recently, Seay-Hubbard UMC (Rev. Keith Caldwell, Pastor) surprised Wesley Student Leaders with huge care baskets! Dr. Tesia Wilson, of Seay-Hubbard UMC, recognizes the TSU Wesley student leaders in their support and mentorship of local Nashville elementary schools, Bellshire Elementary and Alex Green Elementary, for the past six years. She says that Seay Hubbard UMC felt the need to pay it forward and give back to the students of TSU. Dr. Wilson states, “Our church is excited about connecting with college ministry. The partnership between the local church, neighboring schools and campus ministry has been a blessing to all involved. We found the TSU Wesley leaders so thankful for the care baskets they received from our Seay Hubbard congregation. We were so happy they joined us for our zoom worship service! We want to continue to show these young adults they are loved by our church.
TSU WESLEY 615 PARTNERS WITH UMC WOMEN
In this season of building new partnerships and sustaining existing ones, TSU Wesley Foundation is blessed to connect with the Hermitage United Methodist Women. This United Methodist Women’s unit met with our Wesley student leaders to discover ways to partner in community service. We are grateful for their support of our Care to Freshmen campaign which continues on. It was exciting to learn how many UM women have been impacted by a Wesley Foundation campus ministry when they were in college! Hermitage United Methodist Women’s Vice President, Dixie Tolbert, says she was happy to have Rev. Morton speak with the Hermitage United Methodist Women Unit meeting about partnering to support TSU’s Care to Freshmen Campaign and our School-to-Prison Pipeline Prevention campaign. Dixie states, “We were happy to connect with TSU Wesley and build relationships with young adult women!” The TSU Wesley Foundation looks forward to a continuing partnership with HUMW and combining our efforts to change the world!
