The TSU Wesley Foundation had an amazing time at this year's Leading In Transformation (LIT) Conference on the campus of Clark Atlanta University. The morning began with the powerful words of Dr. Daniel Black as he read excerpts from his book, The Coming: The story of The Middle Passage and spiritual formation within the ethnic experience. Reminding us that we must never forget our history and what our ancestors overcame in order for us to be where we are today. After Dr. Black, we all came together for a delicious lunch and mingle with the event sponsors. Students then had the choice of five breakout sessions, each lead by a prominent leader of the community. During this time they were given the opportunity to network with peers of similar interests and passions. The sessions included: Academic Track,

Entrepreneurship, Seminarian and Young Clergy Track, Social Justice Track and Ministry Track. Each session was followed with an in-depth Q&A session where all were able to not only gain knowledge from the leader of the session but were able to learn from each other's personal experiences. We then rejoined for a group session on Media and The Message: Using Social Media to Leverage One’s Ministry Message. Where we learned how to maximize our social media influence for God's Glory and to spread His Word. Students then had the choice of 4 powerful "Living Well" sessions: Suicide Prevention, Transformational Creative Voices, Spirituality for The Millennial Leader and The Effects of Mass Incarceration. Followed by a community service project which will be highlighted in our next story. We ended the night with a mighty move of God in our LIT Worship Experience with Travis Greene as the guest artist and Reverend Dr. Kevin Murriel as guest speaker.
