Late Reaction thump the hype, ascends victorious B

ooming shouts and cheers reverberated throughout the TSU Gym as Late Reaction, CBA’s representative, powered their A-game for the Inter-College Dance Contest hosted by the Office of Culture, Arts, and Language (TSU-OCAL) held on October 18, 2023.

Late Reaction enthusiastically danced their way through the Championship, conquering 7 colleges for the Hip Hop Contest and conquered 5 colleges, achieving 2nd Runner Up, for the Contemporary

Dance Contest.

In an interview with The Blaze, Raebi Dumandan, Queen and Choreographer of Late Reaction, mentioned that they prepared something new yet powerful despite the short preparation time of two weeks.

“We continued our last year routine concept which is Eraserheads to Kamikazee now. And for me, this is the best preparation despite the time na nagahol po kami” Dumandan said.

ith spotlights on, and a thunderous atmosphere from the crowd brimming with excitement and fervor resonating around the gymnasium, Tarlac State University (TSU) features the crowning of Mr. and Ms. TSU 2023 at TSU Gymnasium, October 18, 2023.

Amidst the untamed wilderness, primal roars coming from the lush foliage, the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) declared the presence of Jan Nissa Sicat And Charles Andrie Soriano as the pride and representative of Green Tigers for the Mr. & Ms. TSU 2023.

Mr. and Ms. CBA representatives fought with an ounce of their courage until the end, full of confidence and dedication, slaying the production number and making the crowd wildly roaring.

They executed a graceful and beautiful performance during their casual wear. On their final look, Ms. Sicat is looking elegant wearing her stunning red gown for evening wear and Mr. Soriano is vigorous in his formal wear.

Meanwhile, Ms. CBA took home several awards such as Ms. Kass & Kaye Beauty 2023, Ms. VMY Real Estate 2023, and Ms. El Kofi 2023.

In a short interview with Ms. Sicat, she mentioned her struggles in managing her time considering she is a working student.

“And a lot of factors din have affected my performance.” she said. Ms. Sicat also sent her warm gratitude to the whole CBA community for trusting her.

Meanwhile, Mr. Soriano said it was a fun experience since he didn’t expect to be part of the top 5.

Fueled by passion and motivation, Dumandan emphasized the time and effort they have dedicated, which also served as their motivation, in order to ace the contest.

As of the moment, Late Reaction is not preparing for any future events, however, they are open to any performance that will showcase their talent and passion for dancing.

Previously, candidates from CBA showed off their outstanding spirit during the talent portion in preliminary round.

Ms. Sicat first performed a beautiful and meaningful cultural dance that shocked the audience for a quick change to ballroom dance exhibiting skillful motion with sway and classic movements.

On the other hand, Mr. Soriano performed a remix of trending pop dances later on applauded by the crowd. He also enacted a solo performance of the song “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved” that humored the audience for totally not moving at all.

CBA reps clinch all champ tilt in four categories on Artistic Dance Contest

C

ollege of Business and Accountancy bets swoop the dance floor as they bagged in the aimed-champion title for all of the four categories in the Inter-College Artistic Dance Contest commenced today, October 18, at the TSU Gymnasium.

From entrance up to the end, the team managed to perform with consistency and grace, ending with CBA defending their titles once again this year, successfully pulling off all the four categories-- solo female, duo, trio, and small group.

“I am so happy because all of our members were able to secure our spots despite our lack of practice,” Celene Bethrese P. Balanquit, champion for female solo category, said after the announcement of winners.

“Our line-up was just finalized by Friday (last week). We can’t practice at the same time, we need to take turns, it was hard,” she added.

Co-member, Karl Joshua A. Vicente, member of the duo, trio, and group category, also agreed in his teammate’s remark.

“We are actually so nervous since it’s just how many days of practice since there are also school activities and other things that we must do,” he said.

Vicente participated in a total of three categories and when asked about this, he said that his passions played a huge role in managing to get through this without letting go of a category.

“I also wanted to experience competing before I finally graduate,” he added.

Former member of the CBA team and now,

coach, Ms. Tammy M. Saludez expressed her delight with how today’s results turned out.

“I am overwhelmed. The preparation duration was really short so I might’ve been strict with the practice, but it was all worth it,” she further elaborated.

Ms. Tammy sends his words to the team, “Just keep on going but never be arrogant, share what you know to the next (batches).”

‘Full out’on the floor The crowd’s enthusiasm echoes throughout the TSU gymnasium as the host starts the roll call on each college’s participants, starting from the College of Business and Accountancy representatives.

The College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS), College of Computer Science (CCS), College of Science (COS), and College of Education (CoEd) participated in the said event.

Prominent names in the artistic dance scene chose the winners for this year’s Inter-College Artistic Dance Contest.

CBA representative for female solo, Celene Bethrese P. Balanquit, caught the eye of the audience as she danced to Havana with awesome technical skills matched with on-point precision and rhythm.

against CCS and CoEd. Trisha A. Espiritu and Karl Joshua A. Vicente also won first place for the duo category against five colleges with their connected musicality and overflowing emotion with every step they execute, also ending with a note-worthy triumph against the five colleges.

Trio category represents, Ezraella N. Obregon, Joshua P. Sagum, and Karl Joshua A. Vicente, with Celene Bethrese P. Balanquit and Kristine P. Hernandez for group category had left remarkable footsteps from their gaudy moves as they chacha their way up to victory against CCS and CCJE teams, respectively.

Aplomb: A tationary position During the event, it is evident how all the teams cheered for each other during their performances despite competing for the event.

“We are actually from the Performing Arts (but) we represent our (respective) colleges so whoever wins, we are all happy for each other,” Celine Balanquit expressed.

All of the participants are actually sisters and brothers from the same university-wide organization, TSU Performing Arts Dance Troupe and each of them shares the same sentiment as per today’s event.

Whatever the results were, they are all one in groove, one for this art.

TSU GEW Fun Run 2023 surprises an enthusiastic hydrofoam blast to runners

A

lmost three thousand (3,000) runners registered and joined in the categories of 1-kilometer run and 3-kilometer run of TSU GEW! Fun Run 2023 was held at Lucinda Campus on October 18, 2023, from 4:30 AM to 8:00 AM. The activity began with a pre-run warm-up or Zumba exercise to stimulate the body of the runners.

The hydro foam blast was brought as the main highlight of the race as TSUians played around on the overflowing hydro foam, while other racers were keen on water cannons and bursting vibrant powders.

“Nakakapagod pero masaya, lalo na yung hydro foam sobrang ganda,” April Anne Abilong, a CBA Marketing student, stated as she cheerfully running and chanting during the marathon.

The Blaze asked for an interview with the three CBA participants: Gencie Miranda, Sandra De Gracia, and Alessandra Dizon, from the marketing department. They were asked about their experience in this event and their reaction to the surprising hydrofoam blast.

Consequently, TSU GEW! Fun Run associated exciting cash prizes to ten (10) lucky additional winners with PHP 2,000 each, and ultimately the top 5 winners won up to PHP 4,000 to PHP 10,000.

TSU JMA’s MalacanYUM Palace, garners support from Green Tigers

n line with the College of Business and Accountancy’s week-long celebration of Business Days, the Junior Marketing Association (TSU-JMA) established their politically controversial booth, MalacanYUM Palace at Academic Building, Lucinda Campus.

Ms. Allyiah Grace Buera, the President of TSU-JMA, stated in an interview with The Blaze that the booth is conceptualized by the recent trend of VP Sara Duterte’s Confidential Funds, initially thought of “Confidential Booth” as the booth name, they opted for a food-related name which led to the name “MalacanYUM Palace” “Nag-focus din kami na magkaroon ng witty, funny, and parang relatable na food names para talagang patok na patok sa students” Buerra added.

Moreover, the booth features food products named after politically controversial topics such as “Cornfidential Funds”, “Nutri Balls”, “Maharlika Water”, “Pinknumin”, and “Unicream” Meanwhile, their best-sellers are their refreshments, "Maharlika Water” and “Pinknumin” which are priced at PHP 20 and PHP 30, respectively.

Despite the hot weather, Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) takes part in College of Business and Accountancy Business Days with their “Retro, Revival RetrEAT” booth, serving a variety of foods, refreshments, perfumes, and fashionable accessories.

Good foods to make your mood good, as the HTM offered mocktails (16 oz) and fruit tea, which are two of their best products, costing Php 40 and Php 50, respectively. They also have cookies ranging in price from Php 25 to 30, nachos for Php 35, bottled water for Php 20, and puto-bumbong, which is priced at Php 60.

And also, bejeweled, as HTM also offers fashionable accessories like bracelets ranging from Php 45 to Php 60, necklaces from Php 40 to Php 170, anklets for Php 40, rings for Php 120, and scrunchie for Php 22.

Mr. & Ms. CBA Faculty: ‘This is the Moment’ for a Night of Unforgettable Glamour and Entertainment

A sensational event occurred that proved laughter truly is the best medicine to escape stress often ruling the day.

Filled with humor and laughter, a diverse crowd of College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) gathered to witness a playful performance of faculty members who slay their ramp in Mr. & Ms. CBA Faculty 2023 at AB Ground, Lucinda Campus, October 20, 2023, bringing out the therapeutic power of hilarity.

Different departments of College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) merged, roaring their loudest cheer and support to the respective faculty members.

The young and humbled beauty of female faculty candidates who played the stage are Ms. Jeremy Antonio of Junior Financial Executives (JFINEX), Ms. Valerie Figueroa, Ms. Ronalyn Ann Marie Diaz and Dante Fernandez from Junior Marketing Association (JMA), Ms. Angie Bengco of Economics, and Ms. Hannah Shalom Tadena of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA).

Our gallant and dashing male candidates, Mr. Jomari Miranda and Mr. Errish Jake Abitong typified Junior Financial Executives (JFINEX), Sherwin Gragasin of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA), Mr. Argel Viado and Mr. Jefferson Ruz represents Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM), and Mr. Joshua Poquiz from Junior Philippine Institute of Accountancy (JPIA).

Their casual wear presents a symphony of casual elegance in which the clothing becomes a natural canvas for personal expression. After that, themed wear occurred where the theme was ‘Retro’ distinguished

by its classic appeal and a conscious effort to replicate the appearance and atmosphere of the previous years’ clothing.

Candidates who received minor awards are: BEST IN PRODUCTION NUMBER- Ms. Jeremy Antonio and Mr. Jefferson Ruz BEST IN CASUAL WEAR- Ms. Valerie Figueroa and Mr. Jefferson Ruz BEST IN THEME WEAR- Ms. Jeremy Antonio and Mr. Joshua Poquiz The most awaited part of the event where entertainment erupted was during the question and answer round where Mr. Henry Rufino and Ms. Annalyn Caymo, the night’s hosts, made the event vivid because of their humorous personality. Every candidate answered tricky and challenging questions with their amusing, witty, and hilarious answers that roared the audience with laughter.

After results were tabulated, the long wait was over. Winners and runner ups were finally announced, 2nd runner up was given to Mr. Joshua Poquiz and Ms. Ronnalyn Anne Diaz, Mr. Sherwin Gragasin and Ms. Hannah Shalom Tadena won as 1st runner up, and finally, Mr. Jefferson Ruz and Ms. Jeremy Antonio were crowned as this year’s Mr. & Ms. CBA Faculty 2023, respectively.

Ms. Antonio’s winning answer captured the hearts of people by answering an astute question, “What matters the most is that we’re pretty inside and that we have a heart.”

Upon an interview with her, she revealed that it was fulfilling as it was her first time joining a pageant. She was overwhelmed as

she was crowned as Ms. CBA Faculty 2023 after scarring her grandmother’s things including her earrings and bracelets connecting into a retro theme.

She expressed her utmost thanks for everyone’s support even for students who didn’t have the chance to attend the event.

“I wouldn’t make it this far without all of you. So, thank you so much!” Ms. Antonio expressed.

Mr. Ruz who earned the loudest cheer shares his experience throughout the event.

“It was memorable kasi despite of sobrang daming ginagawa ng faculty [staffs], napakaganda ng activity para mawala ‘yong stress and mapasaya ‘yong mga students ng college natin,” Mr. Ruz said.

He thanked the CSC who organized the event for creating a fun experience and to build camaraderie between students and teachers. He also thanked the program head and chairperson of HTM, Ms. Criselda Tonelada, his co-faculties, the college Dean, HTM-Society, and Pangkat-HTM, specifically Pangkat-Badet for their unending cheer and helping his style.

“And of course, to The Blaze na talagang ginabi rin just to cover the event,” he added.

The event came to its end after crowning the new Mr. & Ms. CBA Faculty. Professors who participated as candidates to the pageant made an entertaining, high spirit, and lively night experienced by the students and other faculty members which is a traditional event for faculty members every three years.

Offering experiences for vintage vibes and modern faces where you can choose different kinds of art ranging from Php 10 for small, and Php 15 for big. Get your own beads as their merchant’s bejeweled offers bracelets for Php 30, necklaces for Php 50, and phone charms for Php 20.

The TSU-EcoSoc is determined to sell their drinks and snacks at an affordable price in order to cater to the student’s budget.

Have your marks in their INKredible booth for as low as Php 5 for small, Php 10 for medium, and Php 15 for big, for both black and white and colored tattoos.

During the interview with the President of JFINEX, Ms. Lilyana Cunanan, she was asked about the meaning behind the concept of each of their booths. She explained, “The reason behind the booth in the main campus is the jungle theme, which aligns with our booth name, JUMANJI JFINEX. The best sellers are the street foods like fish ball, kikiam, and squid ball.”

Meanwhile, their booth at Lucinda has a different concept but offers the same products. “Then yung sa Lucinda naman retro kasi yung theme that’s why bumalik kami sa 90’s to early 2000s which is famous ang pacman, super Mario.” she added.

Moreover, a student from the Department of Financial Management expressed her satisfaction with the service, saying, “Mababait and approachable po ‘yung mga nagbebenta sa amin. Kapag nagtatanong kami tungkol sa mga products , sinasagot nila po lahat.”

JFINEX bursts their glam in Socialization Night J

A dazzling night for the executives to spend their day off.

unior Financial Executives (JFINEX) marks another night to remember, as part of the 12th Executive Days Off with the theme, “Inside-Out: Unveiling The Emotions Within”, held October 19, at the TSU Hotel, Lucinda Campus.

JFINEX President, Ms. Lilyana Cunanan, said in her welcoming address that this event was made to be a memorable one because, after midterms, we all deserve a break.

Financialistas, students, and faculties are present at the said event and agree that this night was made to be a core memory to keep until they graduate.

“Ang saya lalo na after ng program, GRABE!” “Ang galing ng nag-organize, ang ganda ng venue. It shows how they prepared so well.”

Various artists also performed at the event.

JFINEX’s dance group, Valkerie performed a bunch of KPOP dance covers while the acoustic band, ‘Parokya ni Nissy’ serenaded the crowd, also with the participation of Prof. Janelle Santiago, JFINEX’s organiza-

tion adviser.

JFINEX’s adviser mentioned in her message the hardships the officers went through in planning this event.

“They are crying,” she emphasized pertaining to those behind this awesome event.

Organizing the last-minute changes did not end in vain as this night remained spectacular as expected.

Assistant Vice President on Publicity, Andrea Sheyne Tabra, shares her sentiments on tonight’s event as this will be her last before finally graduating.

“As a graduating and officer of JFINEX, turns out na kahit may mga lapses, nakita ko naman na nag-enjoy mga students sa dance floor, ice breaker and sa food,” she said.

Ms. Tabra also commended the officer’s and faculty’s efforts in hyping the crowd.

“This year yung pinaka-hype na socnight na na-experience ko,” she said, reminiscing that moment.

JFINEX also awarded the individuals who shined the most for this night’s event.

The Outfit of the Night was worn by Ms. Joy Samia, Mr. John Usher Valencia, and Mx. Lea Mae Alejo.

Ms. Maria Sophia Nicole Mendoza, Mr. Jared Dapatnapu, and Mx. Aaron Alfonso were the faces of the night.

Lastly, the stars who shined for this night (awarded Stars of the Night), were Ms. Cristine Guillermo, Mr. John Mark Dollaga, and Mx. Jendall Sison.

This event ended with Prof. Santiago’s ending remarks, the hosts signing off, and the opening of the dance floor for the party time.

MusiKatha and Awards Night rocks the night

o nourish the inventive skills of students through the composition of music and lyrics, Office of Technology Development Transfer and Commercialization (OTDTC) organized MusiKatha and rocks the stage at Tarlac State University (TSU) Lucinda Campus on October 20, 2023.

This event was organized to foster student’s creativity and spread awareness on the copyright of their compositions.

Six colleges participated in the event and their original compositions will be deposited for copyright and will also be included in the upcoming album that will be released soon.

Looking back from last year’s BOTB, The Collectives placed 3rd and that became one of their encouragement, to push through and do better this year and finally, they succeeded.

“Nag-focus din kami na magkaroon ng witty, funny, and parang relatable na food names para talagang patok na patok sa students” Buerra added.

“May halong gigil, gustong gusto talaga namin bumawi ngayong foundation,” he added.

The Collectives added their own flavor to four songs, including iconic and impactful OPM songs, Anak, Hari ng Tondo, and Upuan. Flexing their vocalist’s powerful high notes, they also performed Rolling in the Deep and thumped the hype with the audience.

The group thinks that it’s their chemistry that gets them to where they are now and it also helped them in clinching tonight’s champion title.

Moreover, The Collective did not disclose any plans for next year and is focused on celebrating tonight’s achievement.

eaturing cultural heritages of the Philippines, and some delectable foods, Pangkat-Himig, Talento, at Mananayaw (HTM) ng Tarlac State University (TSU) established their booth for the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) celebration of Business Week 2023.

Putting in place two booths at Lucinda and Main Campus, the Pangkat-HTM ng TSU’s Kultura at Sarap (Kultarap) Eatertainment, garners support from Green Tigers all throughout the 117th Foundation Week 2023, securing the Championship for the Booth Competition.

“I think one of the reasons for our success is by having teamwork and better planning of our booth,” Aaron Nacionales, the Business Manager of the organization stated, sharing how dedication and teamwork is their driving force for winning the competition.

old voices breezed through the College of Business and Accountancy students and faculties during Acoustic Night where Hydra claimed the title as the winner of CBA Acoustic Night 2023 at AB Ground, Lucinda Campus, October 21.

Safe Space Society, the first TSU Dragrace Mainstage was set on fire, donning a platform for TSUian LGBT performers to showcase their Lipsync talents.

Performers who puts life using their melodic voices and instruments are performed by five bands: Chase of Jams, DPNL, Hydra, Dirt Circle, and The Beatless and three soloists: Tristian, Jendall, and Kalvin with different sets of music that serenade the audience keeping their ears to the ground.

TSU Safe Space Society President, Na Majika 2000s (Fred Jzeidric Lamorena) reminisced about the lackness of the platform before about the importance of the event.

HYDRA consists of students named Jhun Clarenz Gaspar, Aisha Moudallal, Benedict Dacuma, Gabrielle Angelo Tabinas, Juneline faith Mangaya, and John Ivann Miranda stood victorious followed by DPNL and JENDALL as 2nd place and 3rd place, respectively.

During an interview with a member of the winning group, Aisha Moudallal, the vocalist of the band, she mentioned it was their first time to perform in an event, especially during foundation week.

“It’s very exciting, very enjoy, and damang-dama talaga namin,” Moudallal expressed.

However, their group leader, Jhun Clarenz Gaspar, shared they experienced some struggles along their rehearsals.

“Last year ko na ‘to, maraming struggles. Since head din ako ng booths, hindi ko nasisipot ‘yong band ko, pero we still make time to practice,” Gaspar stated.

“Malaking tulong din siguro ‘yong vibe na naf-feel ng bawat isa saamin lalo na lately may mga na-broken. So, tingin ko malaking tulong na nagawa namin ‘yong areglo na ‘yon kaya nagpapasalamat naman kami na worth it ‘yong nagawa naming performance and nag-enjoy sila,” he added.

The band expressed their gratitude to their department and org, Junior Marketing Association (JMA), families, manager, and KC, who was their runner and the one to look for their instruments.

“Nagpapasalamat kami sa bawat isa sa grupo, sa bandmates ko dahil hindi mabubuo ‘yong performance namin kung wala ang bawat isa saamin,” Gaspar reiterated.

The Acoustic Night proved that the power of music knows no limitations, as the stars twinkled overhead and the final chords reverberated throughout the night.

“I never experienced being authentic at this university (before) and I wished that I’d represented myself this beautiful (so) it’s fulfilling to see the next generation enjoy this.”

Proud, out and about, CBA Governor Ritz Gonzales expressed the idea of the event, being the first joint organization to hold such an activity.

“This event aims to be a beacon to radiate positive vibes to all the members of the community and to contribute awareness of LGBT and recognition of LGBT talent in the university.”

JFINEX's Grand awards ceremony celebrates winners on Executives Day-off

unior Financial Executives (JFINEX) joyfully inaugurated their highly anticipated and thrilling Awards Ceremony for the winners of their respective events on Executive Day-Off, held from October 16-21, 2023, today at the Lucinda Campus Academic Building.

The event commenced with the official opening remarks by Prof. Christine Janelle Santiago, the Advisor of Junior Financial Executives, followed by an Ice Breaker and Bench Cheering Competition prepared by the officers and facilitators.

Winners of the Chess Tournament were Gelmar Tuazon (1st place), Joshua Cabreros (2nd place), and John Angelo Gabor (3rd place).

In the MLBB Tournament, G Graduates (4th year) secured 1st place, Powerpuff Boys (2nd year) took 2nd place, and Kumuburuhus (3rd year) claimed 3rd place.

Last hurray for Economics Fun Day

conomics Department Black Scorpions scattered at the grounds of Lucinda Campus as they push through their last hurray for their Economic Fun Day with the theme “Reconnect our Youth” on October 21 at AB Building, Lucinda Campus.

Composing of 12 challenging obstacles prepared by the eco-soc executives, black scorpions manage to elapse the hurdles and reach the endpoint of the stations.

Meanwhile, 12 teams accepted the challenge, but ‘Team STAR’ was able to bring home the bacon.

‘Team STAR’ the winning team composed of Joy Grace Madarang, Kyla Patricia Mendoza, Kathlyn Mae Narciso, Jayd Medina, and Marielle Shane Augustin, were hailed as the winner of the event as they shined and finished all the obstacle with only 20.98-time record.

“Super saya. nag enjoy ako sa mga activities nila for EconDay lalo na kami yung nag champion.” Mendoza said.

“Although hindi lang agad nag start pero so far maganda naman yung pagka-organize nung activity. Then naging way na din yung EconDay para maki socialize [kami] sa mga lower year.” she added.

Moreover, Team Geng Geng ended up being the 2nd placer, finishing the race with only a 21.80- time record, while Team Timba landed in the 3rd place with a 23.19 time record.

In the Design Your Own Currency competition, Kiana Basa (entry #03) got 1st place, Fiona Ruby Alcantara (entry #1) earned 2nd place, and Christin Portin (entry #08) took 3rd place.

Close gate to fraudulence A

s Tarlac State University (TSU) celebrates its 117th Foundation Week and 34th Universityhood students flocked TSU Gymnasium with excitement only to find unwelcome due to some students who photocopied their ticket as an entry pass to watch the most anticipated Battle of the Bands (BOTB). It is but an intolerable act of fraudulence that shifted the enthusiasm of some students unable to watch the BOTB. Ticketing systems during events are implemented to make sure that only those who avail and support their idols, and insofar for those who only want to enjoy, are given chances to enter the venue.

While this holds true to many, TSU-SSC enforces the ticketing system due to TSU Gym's limited capacity to accommodate the number of students wanting to enter.

Another concern brought by students is the selling of tickets due to its scarcity when, in fact, tickets are given free to students. Remaining true to its mandate, TSU-SSC should also see to it that there will be no conflict of interests in the distribution of tickets among students and officers-in-charge, and the fair basis of 'first-come first-serve' must strictly be observed. However, if fraudulence is among the options to such opportunities, these blatant offenses are condemnable - utterly unacceptable.

Accordingly, the Supreme Student Council of TSU has addressed, in their facebook page, such incidents proliferating that cause the hostile environment during the Foundation week inordinately with the festivity. SSC received reports that students are photocopying and scanning tickets in order to enter the vicinity to watch BOTB.

Earlier from the said event, SSC was informed by nearby printing shops that students are asking them to scan tickets that they refused to do so as this is unethical. There were at least 10 tickets who were caught by the SSC and identified as fake.

Accordingly, students will be punished, if caught, with 1st to 3rd offenses of 7 days to one semester suspension, 21 days to one year suspension, and expulsion/dismissal from the university, respectively.

SSC cleared that there were 220 tickets granted to each of the 11 College Student Councils (CSC). There were also excess tickets that were produced and marked, which the SSC assumed were accidentally distributed resulting in overcrowding of students than expected, but were actually caused by fraudulent tickets.

Students, being in an institution that promotes integrity and honesty, should not be condoned if caught of such a strident act. Imagine if students will be given consent without proper punishments, this will embark in their minds that it is okay to do wrongdoings because one can avoid or sidetrack the policies, rules and regulations that prohibit them.

Thus, to mitigate the crowd, even late comers and with authentic tickets are forced to stay outside of the gymnasium.

The limitation also has brought about the capacity of the gym to hold students from entering.

With this, according to some students, the SSC did not follow the ticketing system while some of the students who have the authentic tickets are not given the opportunity to enter the gymnasium, which may be found unfair for some.

Based on the TSU student manual Chapter 3 Section 9.9 of the Ground for Disciplinary Actions and Sanctions, forging, tampering, alteration or misuse ofofficial academic records or documents of any kind shall be

While everyone's excitement may be valid, alternatives such as those villainous opportunities should not be a repeated norm. One must learn from its mistake that fraudulence is a crime and impermissible.

Foundation Week should be a beacon of light to wind up our mind from academic distress. The revolving issue during the 117th Founding Anniversary Battle Of The Bands should be a scintillating light that holds offenders accountable and responsible.

It must be a wake up call for every student that fraudulence is a strenuous offense and TSU promotes a strictly close gate to fraudulence.
