Late Reaction thump the hype, ascends victorious B

ooming shouts and cheers reverberated throughout the TSU Gym as Late Reaction, CBA’s representative, powered their A-game for the Inter-College Dance Contest hosted by the Office of Culture, Arts, and Language (TSU-OCAL) held on October 18, 2023. Late Reaction enthusiastically danced their way through the Championship, conquering 7 colleges for the Hip Hop Contest and conquered 5 colleges, achieving 2nd Runner Up, for the Contemporary

Dance Contest. In an interview with The Blaze, Raebi Dumandan, Queen and Choreographer of Late Reaction, mentioned that they prepared something new yet powerful despite the short preparation time of two weeks. “We continued our last year routine concept which is Eraserheads to Kamikazee now. And for me, this is the best preparation despite the time na nagahol po kami” Dumandan said.

ith spotlights on, and a thunderous atmosphere from the crowd brimming with excitement and fervor resonating around the gymnasium, Tarlac State University (TSU) features the crowning of Mr. and Ms. TSU 2023 at TSU Gymnasium, October 18, 2023. Amidst the untamed wilderness, primal roars coming from the lush foliage, the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) declared the presence of Jan Nissa Sicat And Charles Andrie Soriano as the pride and representative of Green Tigers for the Mr. & Ms. TSU 2023. Mr. and Ms. CBA representatives fought with an ounce of their courage until the end, full of confidence and dedication, slaying the production number and making the crowd wildly roaring. They executed a graceful and beautiful performance during their casual wear. On their final look, Ms. Sicat is looking elegant wearing her stunning red gown for evening wear and Mr. Soriano is vigorous in his formal wear. Meanwhile, Ms. CBA took home several awards such as Ms. Kass & Kaye Beauty 2023, Ms. VMY Real Estate 2023, and Ms. El Kofi 2023. In a short interview with Ms. Sicat, she mentioned her struggles in managing her time considering she is a working student. “And a lot of factors din have affected my performance.” she said. Ms. Sicat also sent her warm gratitude to the whole CBA community for trusting her. Meanwhile, Mr. Soriano said it was a fun experience since he didn’t expect to be part of the top 5. “Pero feel ko hindi ko po nabigay ‘yong

Fueled by passion and motivation, Dumandan emphasized the time and effort they have dedicated, which also served as their motivation, in order to ace the contest. As of the moment, Late Reaction is not preparing for any future events, however, they are open to any performance that will showcase their talent and passion for dancing.

He also expressed his utmost gratitude to God, his parents, handler, his wardrobe for their exceeding effort, to CBA, and his classmates who supported his pageant journey. Despite their persistent efforts, they ultimately ended their night entering the Top 5 after exhibiting amazing tenacity and pushing themselves to the very limit. Previously, candidates from CBA showed off their outstanding spirit during the talent portion in preliminary round. Ms. Sicat first performed a beautiful and meaningful cultural dance that shocked the audience for a quick change to ballroom dance exhibiting skillful motion with sway and classic movements. On the other hand, Mr. Soriano performed a remix of trending pop dances later on applauded by the crowd. He also enacted a solo performance of the song “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved” that humored the audience for totally not moving at all. The pageant concluded, crowning COED as Mr. TSU 2023 while male candidates from COE and CCS won as 1st and 2nd runner up.
