he Greater Boynton Beach Chamber of Commerce is the premier organization of choice representing and promoting the business community.

Boynton Beach was settled in 1894 by Major Nathan Boynton and had a population of 83 by 1900 and was noted for being the major supplier of tomatoes and pineapples. Today, 120 years later, Boynton has a population in excess of 65,000. Our city enjoys an unemployment rate of only 5.2 percent (U.S. 6.3 percent); job growth of 3.93 percent (U.S. 1.1 percent); and future job growth of 42.7 percent (U.S. 36.1 percent). The Chamber has always been and continues to be a strong promoter, supporter and influencer that enhances the strength of its community’s citizens and businesses.
The Chamber is actively involved with business to improve and promote the greater Boynton Beach economy. It maintains Board positions on the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County, collaborates closely with the City government and neighboring city chambers of commerce. The mission of the Greater Boynton Beach Chamber of Commerce is to connect business to everything that creates success. As a not-for-profit organization, the chamber works closely with the city commission, county commission, community redevelopment agency, business development board, and tourist development council to foster a climate for business retention, and job creation. Members of The Greater Boynton Beach Chamber of Commerce make a sound business decision when taking an active role in our multiple networking opportunities. Our chamber offers 36 pre-organized networking events throughout the year. We provide three leads groups in which to share and obtain new business with other members. The chamber also hosts four signature special events yearly. In addition, our Government Affairs Council and Health Care Council help educate and advocate on issues related to those fields. Our Ambassadors Committee and Women’s Connections Council are dynamic and meet monthly to discuss current topics. The School District of Palm Beach County cademic excellence is an essential aspect of life in Boynton Beach. The School District of Palm Beach Counties is the top-performing urban school district in the state of Florida. It is fully accredited by AdvancED, the world’s largest education community using international standards. The district is the fourth-largest in the world to receive this distinction.

The School District holds 10 schools, which have earned Newsweek’s Best High Schools in America 2013. Education Week recognized the district as having the eighth-highest graduation rate in the nation. It partners with 1,250 businesses in all industries, including banking, bio-tech, utilities, engineering, retail, medical, communication, hospitality, and construction. Each one is committed to patient dignity along with an established reputation for professionalism in assisting with patient health progress and family concerns.

Bethesda Health is a 401-bed, nonprofit, fully accredited community hospital that has been serving the healthcare needs of southern Palm Beach County since 1959. Bethesda offers a full range of services including a nationally accredited vascular institute, general and specialized surgery, maternity services, a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care unit, pediatric and pediatric intensive care services and much more. There are several other services located on the hospital’s campus, allowing for better patient care in a short amount of time. The Bethesda Heart Hospital is the area’s most comprehensive, state-of-the-art cardiovascular facility in the county. This 39-bed, all-private-room heart hospital is a nationally ranked member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the world’s foremost authority for its commitment to achieving quality outcomes and excellence in cardiovascular care. oynton Beach, geographically located in the middle of Palm Beach County, is a coastal community that runs parallel to a four mile stretch of the Intracoastal Waterway. Known as “America’s Gateway to the Gulfstream,” Boynton Beach is a full-service municipality, providing virtually every city service and quality of life opportunities for its residents and visitors. The City of Boynton Beach’s five elected officials include four district commissioners and a mayor-at-large that task the city manager they appoint, and a team of more than 14 department heads, to manage run the day-to-day operations for more than 70,000 residents and thousands of visitors each year. The City’s collaborative partners, the Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and the Greater Boynton Beach Chamber of Commerce, also assist in the success of the City.

Due to its location and year-round tropical climate, Boynton Beach possesses many natural assets that set the stage for numerous leisure, recreation and active lifestyle pursuits. The City of Boynton Beach invests a great deal of resources to ensure that residents and visitors have access to its 253 acres of municipal parks, beach and natural conservation lands. These facilities offer over 200 recreational programs, classes and events for all ages – from toddlers to seniors. Supplementing its recreational indoor facilities are tennis and basketball courts, playgrounds, fitness centers and a pool. With this in mind, the City of Boynton Beach has committed to connecting its urban areas with its natural environment and to increasing alternative transportation options that eliminate the need for motorized transportation through a new Greenways, Blueways and Trails Mapping Project.
Art and culture is embraced by the City, which houses more than 40 works of art in public places. The City of Boynton Beach produces the world-famous International Kinetic Art Exhibit and Symposium on a biennial basis and supports the Boynton Beach Art District’s (BBAD) many events, including monthly art walks. In addition, the City is home to popular annual and ongoing events, including PirateFest, Movies in the Park, Music on the Rocks, St. Patrick’s Day Celebration, Earth Day, Holiday Parade, Boat Parade and 4th of July Fireworks over the Intracoastal Waterway.
The City of Boynton Beach works very hard to honor and preserve its rich culture and history, with two historical landmarks on the National Registry, and five others on the local registry of historic places.
