Townsville ready for Corroboree 2023

Corroboree 2023 returns to Townsville with jammed packed cultural entertainment over the next three days.

The opening ceremony tomorrow night will include the Wulgurukaba and Bindal Dance Teams, as well as Torres Strait Island Dance Teams.

All dance groups will perform on a special sandpit installed for them to kick up some dust.

It was hoped the great North Queensland weather will be on show to attract many to Central Park to enjoy the dancing, live music, markets, workshops, food stalls and yarning circle.

Corroboree 2023 was organised by Big Eye Theatre and is a part of the Northern Australian Festival of Arts (NAFA).
