Wongai Ball fundraiser a success for school

The Parents and Friends Association (PFA) of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School held their annual fundraiser, the Wongai Ball, at the PKA hall on Saturday night.




The event was dubbed a huge success, with an almost sell-out crowd enjoying a night of dancing with music provided by DJ Esther and live band First Break.


Wai Reka Catering –Sweet Waters provided a selection of delicious cocktail-style food.
A silent auction was also held with a variety of prizes all generously donated by local businesses Mark Milbourne Construction, Northern Construction, Joey Laifoo, Coral Sea Concrete, Matt Birney Builders, Cape York Camping Punsand Bay, EMVER Partners, ATS Services, Peddellls Ferry and Community Enterprise Queensland.
All money raised from the night will be used by the PFA to purchase a variety of resources for the school.
The PFA said they were extremely grateful to the community for their overwhelming support of this event.
