NPA footy entertains

The popular NPA Men’s rugby league competition continued last week which saw two exciting and entertaining games in round three.
Bamaga Ross defeated New Mapoon Warriors 24-12 and both sides had many good players.

For Bamaga Rooos Nesta Phineasa, Neville Bond, Rex Pablo and Sai Sanimo scored tries.
Rex Pablo chipped in with three goals.
New Mapoon Warriors try scorers were Jarrod Laifoo, and Alwyn Bond whilst Xavier Neliman and Lawrence Townson booted goals.
Injinoo Crocs had a 28-22 victory over Alau Eagles.
For the Crocs Zjhan Nona, Tristan Ropeyarn, Lyle Bowie, Manu Wigness and Daniel Nona scored tries.
Manu Wigness topped off a fine game with four goals.
Alau Eagles try scorers were were Robert Baira, George Mudu, Sherwin Young and Rodney Toby snr. Robert Baira kicked two goals and Sherwin Young one.
MEANWHILE a meeting was to be held on Waiben after the Torres News deadline to discuss whether a local ZKRL competition would go ahead and when it might start.
