Lee, Reuben & Baira cross the line for their teams

Islanders Edrick Lee and Jon Reuben each scored two tries in round 11 of the Statewide Hostplus Cup rugby league comp last weekend.
Winger Edrick scored his double for the CQ Capras which beat Norths Devils 36-25.
Jon crossed for two four pointers for the Devils at Rockhampton’s Browne Park on Saturday.
Jon is also an outside back and is one of the fastest players in the 15 team comp.
Both have played numerous Allblacks carnivals with Edrick having lined up for Badu team Kulpiyam and Jon for Erub United.
Edrick has played one NRL match for the Redcliffe Dolphins this season and should have more games for the team in coming weeks.
That fine effort by Edrick follows his two tries for the Capras the previous week.
Meanwhile the Cairns based Northern Pride scored a 22-16 victory over the PNG Hunters.

Christian, who has been a regular Erub United player, was impressive.
The Mackay Cutters went down 30-28 to Brisbane Tigers in a close encounter at BB Print Stadium.
Townsville Blackhawks had a bye and are placed 10th.
CQ Capras are sitting fourth, the Northern Pride ninth, the PNG Hunters 11th and Cutters 15th.
In next weekend’s round 14 matches, Northern Pride v Ipswich Jets at North Ipswich Reserve, Blackhawks v Wynnum Manly Seagulls at Townsville’s
Jack Manski Oval, PNG Hunters v Tweed Seagulls, Sunshine Coast Falcons v Mackay Cutters, and CQ Capras v Brisbane Tigers.

Rising young star Brenton Baira shone for the Redcliffe Dolphins in the 54-12 victory over Souths Logan Magpies Colts.
Brenton scored a try and with radar like accuracy also kicked nine goals for a wonderful personal total of 22 points.
CQ Capras drew with Norths Devils 26-all with both teams scoring five tries.
Mackay Cutters went down 30-14 to Brisbane Tigers and the Townsville Blackhawks had a bye.
Brenton’s Dolphins are top of the table in the division with Blackhawks fifth, the Cutters eighth, the Capras 12th and the Northern Pride 13th.
In round seven, Townsville Blackhawks v Wynnum Manly at Townsville, and the Pride travel away to meet the Ipswich Jets.
