By Seventh Grade, students are better able to engage in critical thinking and problemsolving. They are more adept at seeing various perspectives and at providing reasons behind their assertions. Analytical writing becomes increasingly important in English, History, and Science classes, and Algebraic functions demand greater abstract reasoning in conjunction with arithmetic skills. Students continue to have the option to participate in the Fall Play and Spring Musical as well as interscholastic sports. In Innovation Lab, Seventh Graders have the opportunity to create small trinkets using 3D printers and sell them to younger students during “Seventh Grade Business.”

At Harford Day, our enriched curriculum, expert faculty, and specialized learning spaces provide students with unparalleled opportunities for growth. Through hands-on units of study throughout Middle School, students remain engaged and challenged with project-based learning, public speaking, collaborative problem-solving, multiple field experiences, and meaningful leadership opportunities.

These experiences foster independence, critical thinking, and effective communication while building the strong academic foundation and confidence students need to excel in high school and beyond.
