Tools for kids’ sand structuring. Let’s play sand with imagination!

“SANDi provides kids with unlimited sand structuring.” Playing with sand is a great opportunity to stimulate a child’s imagination. But right now, the tools children use to play with sand only limit their creativity. Every child is using the same pail to build the same sand castle.
SANDi rubber boards allow children the creative freedom they need. In addition, SANDi provides efficient and ergonomic tools for children to dig, water, and decorate sand castles with their imagination.

Large amount of sketches and 3D models, trial and error, till I ďŹ nd the best solution.
Transferring my ideas from 2D to 3D is the best way for me to test them and see if they are workable. By this process, I found out the best ergonomic size for kids many issues in the design details that I did not see in 2D. To know more about my target user, I take my prototype to a park and play with kids. got more informations from observing and interacting with kids.

“Use the continuation of original vegetable growth for preservation.” We used to use fridge to preserve vegetables. However, “ the fridge is not suit for all kinds of vegetables ”. Also, whenever we open the fridge, a big amount of electronic is wasted.
The concept of Bio-VEDGE is to use the continuation of original vegetable growth for preservation. It provides small family users a greener and more elegant life style.

1. Use “sponge� to keep leafy or radish vegetables moist. Maintaining original plant upright growth of ways to extend the shelf life.
Root vegetables, ginger, galic... were grown underground. The best way to preserve is to put them in a place without light and keep them dry, ventilated.
3. Bowl-like design submerges the cabbage root portion in water, letting it continue to grow as the way to keep fresh.

Users can create various arrangements of Bio - VEDGE according to the amount or type of vegetables week to week.
Modular
Users can drag Bio-VEDGE to thier cooking place, no need to back and forth between stove and refrigerator. Movable
Users can put their basket on Bio-VEDGE after buying vegetables. Basket placement
I began researching on the internet to get basic ideas. Then, I interviewed professionals for more knowledge about vegetables and preservation and observed the small family’s living patterns. Finally, I tested the preservation techniques myself, using the same batch of vegetables to compare among different environments.

“Right music, Joyful running.”
“I want to give people a better running experience.” Based on research, most people use a “random” or “shuffle” mode for music playing during jogging, and sometimes the music cannot fit one’s mood or running pace. It is inconvenient for one to change his or her music frequently when jogging.
The concept is based on Emotion Recognition System, which can choose the right music based on the user’s emotions. Users only need to select their mood and the music player will search for the right music. The gyro sensor can detect the running pace and select music that will fit it.

Have to go to the conference room for meetings. Workers work separately. Workers have more privacy.
Open office More discussion and talking between workers. More public space. The line between public space and individual becomes obscure. Less privacy.
“New office, new working experience.” Since the open office has become the main kind of working space, office workers are able to frequently communicate with colleagues. Also, workers tend to work cooperatively instead of individually. Working patterns are changing and office furniture needs a new definition.
“You can hold a small group meeting in your own working space.” Archite lets office workers hold a small team conference right at their working table, eliminating the time lost going back and forth between conference rooms and enhancing the chemistry in the office.

During this period, I created many ideations with the design team. I learned how to discover the best solutions based on research and the customer’s needs. I also improved my sketching skills during this period.
Prototype making CSchair oďŹƒce chair design project After the ideation period, I created prototypes by using an IKEA chair as a model. I constructed dierent idea forms in order to test their function.

Design strategy “Inspired by kids” Kindergarden and Weplay learning center are two of the place we went most to get informations of kids. Collect all the informations and researchs, we set up the design strategy and communicate with our client.

This was the ďŹ rst time we actually dealt with the commercial side learned basic knowledge about the market, costs and manufacuring. Prototype making and testing “Test our sketch models in kindergardens and Weplay learning center.� We used sketch models to test our our ideas and communicate with our client. Through this process we learned how to think more thoroughly about design based on its interaction with kids.

Two of two my product design project were anounced ďŹ nalist. One of them was awarded as Weplay Award.
4 YODEX Design Exhibition - Fermenting Self branding Other works
FERMENTING In this exhibition, I designed the typography of our design team’s logo and cooperated with illustrator Boom Fu to design the moster, main wall image, sta card, Facebook banner, etc.
Typography Design I based the concept on the main theme of FERMENTING, oating and changeable. I also made the design cohere to the illustration.
