PCHS Players present ‘Guys and Dolls’

The first of six community policing meetings will be held today at 6:30 p.m. in Columbus Town Hall. This meeting will be for residents of the Columbus area. On Thursday, March 15, the community policing meeting for the Sunny View area will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Sunny View Elementary School. The first goal of these meetings is to help build on existing community/neighborhood watch programs already in place throughout Polk County and to assist in starting other similar programs.

Here’s a list of upcoming meetings and events for area nonprofit community and governmental organizations:

Harmon Field Parks and Recreation Supervisor George Alley was suspended last week after he filed as a candidate for the N.C. House of Representa-
