Miller pushing for faster action on dilapidated homes in Tryon’s Eastside A Foothills Wine Tasting Tour will be held today, Thursday, Aug. 25, from 1 – 5 p.m. The tour, organized by Southern Appalachian Adventures, will visit the Green Creek Winery, Rockhouse Vineyards and the Overmountain Vineyard. Tryon Councilman Roy Miller is questioning how the town’s Eastside neighborhood can be revitalized when there are dilapidated structures throughout the area, some of which are no longer visible from being engulfed in kudzu.
