‘Tom Sawyer’ opens at TFAC July 28 Tom Sawyer (Greyson Roser) tries to impress Becky Thatcher (Grace Marshall) in a scene from “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer,” the second of this year’s summer youth productions offered by Tryon Little Theater and the Tryon Youth Center. Performances will be at the Tryon Fine Arts Center at 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 28 and Friday, July 29 and at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31. There is a new paper recycling bin at the Saluda Post Office. Dawn Denise Delgado of Saluda said it has frustrated her for years that so many flyers ended up in the trash at the post office. She said she is now glad to see the recycling bin available and is appreciative of post office workers for making it happen.
