– an oasis on the Arctic tundra –

In 1959, Frank and Regine Juhls started Finnmark’s first silver workshop, before there was a year-round road connection to the village. This would become their life’s work - Juhls Silver Gallery. For 60 years they have created and built...a long and fruitful life that has left its mark. The house emphasizes the generous and gently rolling shapes of the tundra and is an oasis of human creativity.

Over the years, the place has evolved into a gem of personal architecture. Behind the life’s work lies a sincere desire to create something beautiful and an indomitable joy in working. You will find the site on a hill above the river just outside the beautiful village of Guovdageaidnu (Kautokeino).

Historical jewelry, traditional Sami silver, and contemporary designs are sold in the store. All jewelry is made entirely in the workshop in Guovdageaidnu (Kautokeino). Craftsmanship and professional pride are strongly emphasized, and we aspire to a sustainable and ethical production with regards to the environment, culture, and society we live in and are part of.
