In 1955, Benjamin (Bennie) Lee Fudge had the desire and opportunity to bring Bible study books and resources to people in Athens, Alabama and beyond. He established the Christian Education Institute and began helping publish and provide Bible-based materials to Christians everywhere. This was shortened to C.E.I. and became known as the C.E.I. Store, C.E.I. Publishing, and C.E.I. Bookstore over the years.

At nearly the same time, Truth Magazine began publishing a periodical paper aimed at providing Biblical teaching on subjects of importance and interest to Christians.

This publication, and the partnerships related to it, has grown to the more than 1,000 titles now available from Truth Publications, Inc. Truth Publications, Inc. owns and operates CEI Bookstore, truthbooks.com, and all operating divisions and brands from downtown Athens, AL where we also have our retail storefront, warehouse, and corporate offices.

Truth Publications is a non-profit religious organization, meaning all profits generated from our efforts go toward the creation and publishing of more trustworthy, Bible-based material for Christians, churches, and everyone seeking to know God. Truth Publications has engaged preachers, elders, deacons, teachers, song leaders, and faithful Christians to serve on our Board of Directors. This leadership carefully plans and reviews the work of our operating divisions while making every effort to ensure that the materials published are true to the standard of the Bible.
