The First Man

THE STORY OF THE PROPHET ADAM Once upon a time, in a world created

by God,

There lived a man named Adam.

He was a very special man

He was the very first human God had ever created.

Adam & Eve

ADAM & EVE Adam lived in a beautiful garden called "Paradise."

In Paradise, Adam was not alone; he had a loving companion named Eve, who was created from the same clay as him.

It was a place of perfect beauty, with lush green trees, colorful flowers, and friendly animals.

Together, they were the first couple on Earth.

Adam Was Kind

ADAM WAS KIND Adam had a big heart full of kindness. He took care of all the animals, insects and birds in Paradise.

He was tall and strong, with a gentle spirit.

He gave the animals names, and they loved him in return.

The animals would come to him, and he would gently stroke their fur and feathers

Adam Was Gentle

ADAM WAS GENTLE He always took care of all the animals and birds in Paradise.

They all lived together in peace and harmony.

By giving all the animals, insects and birds names, they felt important. They knew that he was their friend.

They loved him, and he loved them.

Blessings of Life

THE BLESSING OF LIFE Adam believed in taking care of himself and his family.

God wants his children to be happy and to enjoy the blessings of his creation.

He worked hard to provide a good, honest and healthy living for his posterity to enjoy.

Being clean, having comfort in living and living the fullness of our creation is what God desires for all of his children.

Worldly Creation

WORLDLY CREATION In the beginning when God created this world, colors was important to him.

The insects come in different colors. Flowers come in different colors.

Animals come in different colors. The sky shows forth it’s different colors.

Colors bring life to all that surrounds us.

Our eyes find pleasure in God’s beautiful colors.

God is a beautiful artist and a master artist. Adam enjoyed using these colors to display beauty in the creations of homes, arches and other structures.

Two, But One

TWO, BUT ONE The birds, the flowers, the butterflies, the animals, they all loved Eve so very much.

Woman is like the flower, beautiful in every way and gentle as the breeze that brushes over the flower.

The flower in all its beauty and wonder, puts a smile on every face.

Eve was full of beauty and wonder just like the flower. She loved decorating with flowers because the flowers brought out what was in her heart.

One Rule

ONE RULE God loves all of his creation. Adam and Eve were the first creation of human life on earth.

They were free to enjoy all that God had created for them. But there was just one rule in Paradise, God’s Garden of Eden.

Adam and Eve, the insects, the birds, the animals. They were all happy.

God had said, "You may eat from all the trees in this garden, but not from the Tree of Knowledge."

Consequences

CONSEQUENCES This big and beautiful tree is the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Free will is the act of choosing without being forced to do something.

This is the greatest gift that God has given to all of his precious children.

God had warned them about the consequences of eating from this tree.

But he also gave them free will.

In the pre-existence, when we all lived with our heavenly parents, God had created a beautiful plan for all of his children.

God’s Plan

GOD’S PLAN He wanted to see if Adam and Eve would obey him. This is how it is with all of his children.

Just as God gave the One Rule in the Garden of Eden, he also gave rules to all of his children on earth. Those are the Ten Commandments.

We use our free choice to decide what we want the most.

He wanted to see if they would choose to obey Him. He wants to see if we will also obey him.

Choice = Blessings

CHOICE BROUGHT BLESSINGS Satan went to Adam and tried to get him to eat of the forbidden fruit. Adam refused to break the One Rule.

It's delicious, and it will make you wise."

Eve has always wanted to choose the right.

So, Satan, the crafty snake, went to Eve. He whispered in her ear, “Why don’t you try the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge?

Eve was a wise woman.

She also knew that she wanted for her and Adam to progress. Satan then used a crafty strategy.

The Crafty Snake

THE CRAFTY SNAKE Satan can come in many forms to God’s children to deceive them. That is why we must be careful.

Satan the crafty snake does this to God’s children to cause us to doubt ourselves. Eve looked at the tree and noticed that it looked good.

Satan whispered again in her ear, “Didn’t God say you can eat of every tree in the garden?” He challenged her memory.

Eve hesitated but was tempted by the snake's words. The crafty snake knows very well how to catch our eyes.

They Did Partake

THEY DID PARTAKE She kept looking at the tree and the fruit looked delicious. She plucked the Forbidden fruit from the tree and took a bite.

She told Adam that he should try this fruit, because it is very delicious and has a very sweet taste.

The moment she took that bite, she felt something strange. It was a mixture of curiosity and guilt. She liked it so much that she went to Adam.

Adam knew that if he did not eat the fruit then Eve would be separated from him.

He ate the fruit so that he could be with her.

They Changed

THEY CHANGED As soon as they both had eaten the delicious fruit, they felt a change. They began to grow in knowledge and wisdom.

They knew they had done something they shouldn't have.

Regret filled their hearts.

They became aware of their nakedness. They were no longer innocent.

They saw each other and went to make clothes.

They began to feel ashamed.

They were not sure how God would react to their choice of breaking the One Rule. They went and hid from God.

They Grew

THEY GREW God came to visit them. God is all knowing, he already knew that they had broken the One Rule.

But that does not mean that he does not love us any less when we make mistakes. God is ever merciful and ever loving.

God knows all of his children perfectly. Even if we try and hide from him, because we do something wrong, he knows.

God called Adam & Eves name. They were hiding from him.

He called them again.

They came to God feeling sad, guilty and ashamed.

They Were Sorry

THEY WERE SORRY God looked at them both with great love in his eyes. He smiled and said, “why do you look so sad?”

She was sorry and felt sad. Adam told God that Eve came to him and told him that she partook. She invited him to partake and he did eat.

“What happened while I was gone?” Eve told him that Satan the crafty snake came to her and deceived her into partaking the fruit.

God was pleased that they recognized their mistakes. He loved them very much. However, they had to leave Paradise, the Garden of Eden.

Home On Earth

HOME ON EARTH God said, “You must now go to earth where you will live.

You will work hard and face many challenges.

But they also had hope, because of what God had told them.

But, it will also be a place where you will learn and grow.” With sadness in their eyes, they began their journey to earth.

Their hearts were heavy.

Even though their life would be hard, they were happy to learn and grow. Their hearts were filled with hope.

They Have Children

THEY HAVE CHILDREN They shared stories of their time in Paradise, the beauty of the garden, and the lessons they had learned.

They love God and believe in his eternal plan for his children.

While they lived in Paradise, also known as the Garden of Eden, God taught them about his Gospel and his plan for all of his children.

They wanted their children to know everything that God taught them. They wanted their children to be happy.

God Was With Them

GOD WAS WITH THEM As they make their journey through mortality, they knew that God was with them. They knew that he was guiding them through mortality.

They love God and believe in his eternal plan for his children.

They found happiness in working from the land.

They learned from God how to farm, raise animals, learn how to plant crops.

Most importantly, as they followed God’s commandment to “Multiply and replenish the earth” They learned how to raise children.

Learn To Plant

LEARN TO PLANT Their children grew in love and wisdom.

Just like their parents, Adam & Eve.

Adam & Eve Loved their children and continued to teach them how to be kind.

They cared about each other and shared with each other. Life was not perfect and there were fights.

They exercised patience and was sad when their children made mistakes. But they still loved them, because that is how God treated them.

Learn To Trade

LEARN TO TRADE Adam & Eve taught their children how to trade and make a living off the land.

They worked hard to earn security for their families.

They taught their children how to live good and righteous lives.

They sold crops and kept good record of their dealings with their fellow man. Keeping record, makes sure that honestly prevails.

They were taught not to steal, not to take advantage of their neighbor. They were also taught to share and serve each other in love and kindness.

Trust God

TRUST GOD As time went on and they grew older in years, they became parents to many children.

They taught their family about the gospel. They learned to trust God even when they had to do things that were very hard and scary.

They taught their children how to live good and righteous lives. They taught them good and positive principles.

They never forgot the lessons that they had learned in the garden of Eden. They never forgot how beautiful it was.

A Legacy Left

A LEGACY LEFT They always shared their stories with joy and excitement about their life in Paradise.

Their children continued to pass these stories down from generation to generation.

These stories of life in the Garden of Eden were cherished by their children.

They even had a picture of Adam and the universe, displaying God’s creation and Adam’s love for his posterity.

A Timeless Lesson

A TIMELESS LESSON Their story became a timeless lesson for all of humanity.

The legacy of Adam, the first man, and Eve, the first woman continues to live on for generations.

It taught people about the consequences of making wrong choices and the importance of asking God for forgiveness.

Their children and their children’s children continue to look to Adam and Eve as the first parents to all of humanity.

Be Kind

BE KIND The stories continue to be told to children all around the world.

New generations are created, and legacies continue to be left as children grow up sharing the beautiful stories of our first parents.

Reminding children and all of humanity to be kind, to follow God’s guidance and to seek forgiveness when they make mistakes.

Faces are happy and laughter is heard as children of God continue to cover the earth.

God’s Guidance

FOLLOW GODS GUIDANCE Our Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ both visited Adam and Eve in the Garden.

This truth has stood throughout the seasons of time and has helped all of God’s children to seek to know God and Jesus Christ more.

They both walked and talked with Adam.

Because of this, children are being taught more and more the beautiful lessons of peace here on earth.

27 If Eve had not chosen to partake of the forbidden fruit, we would not be living on earth.

Adam & Eve would have forever remained in a state of innocence.

Children everywhere are being taught to love and not hurt their neighbor.

These timeless lessons continue to turn this world into a more peaceful, and happy place, for all of us to enjoy.

Adam and Eve lived righteous lives. As they came to the end of life, they began their next journey as they walked into Eternity.

They watch and hope that their children will choose to live after their examples so that they can see all of their children again.

We look on towards the horizon of time and we live so that we can leave this continued legacy behind forevermore.

And that, my dear friends, is the story of the first man, Prophet Adam, and his journey of love, temptation, and forgiveness.
