LAKEFRONT LIVING THAT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!

Lakefront living has to include the perfect entertaining space for guests

HOW ONE FAMILY TOOK A TRAGEDY AND CREATED THE HOME OF THEIR DREAMS.... WELCOME TO BEECHTREE MANOR!

Imagine spending a little over a year remodeling your family home, being only weeks away from ' move-in day ' only to receive a call that your home has been lost due to a fire! This is what happened not too long ago to these lovely homeowners. Through the tears and ashes however, they were able to create the home of their dreams!

DEVELOPING THE PLAN

The homeowners planned to bring their designer, Missy from Studio M Interiors over, as well as their technology team, Ponch & Amanda from TruMedia, but then they needed to search for the perfect design! Enter Architect Brad from Brad Douglas Design. It was important for this Nonna & Papa to create a space not only for them, but that would include the entire family for entertaining....even the grandkids who have their own ' clubhouse ' for Nonna and the kids ONLY!

CHOOSING A BUILDER

Choosing a builder for the project would be no easy task either. After many interviews, Jeff from Sherwood Custom Homes and his team were tasked with the project. Their pride in crafting every detail to the owners desire showed through on each step in this project.

TECHNOLOGY WAS A MUST

A house of this size and caliber of course needed technology, but it also needed to be easy to use. The statement tech for this home is the Lutron Homeworks system. This system allows them to control not only all of the light fixtures inside and out, it also controls the natural lighting with the use of custom motorized roller shades by Lutron. This entire system is set up with personalized scenes so the homeowners don 't have to worry about their shades or lighting when they are in the home or when they are traveling. This system can also be controlled via the customized keypads and even voice control!

HIS AND HERS DESIGN

It was important to these homeowners to not only have great entertaining spaces, but personalized his and her spaces to fit their daily needs. This started with the traditional custom his and hers walk-in closets and vanities in the master bath but it didn 't stop there, it also includes his and hers offices that reflect each of the owners unique tastes. She also has a custom craft room that offsets his workshop.

DREAMS COME TRUE

It took a lot of planning and partnerships, but together the teams involved were able to raise a phoenix from the ashes and give this couple the home of their dreams. Memories will continue to be made her for years!
