I’ve been focused on performance for a long time. From setting trusses and sealing roofs during intense snowstorms to climbing and elk hunting in our frigid Colorado mountains, I’ve found that my best is most often needed when the conditions are the worst.
That’s why for almost a decade, my team and I have been on a mission to evolve and innovate the old ways of thinking— building modern, technical workwear that supercharges performance, and leaves antiquated denim and cotton canvas in the past.

How can you truly know what your community needs if you’ve never worked alongside them?
That’s the “boots on” philosophy we believe in, which led to teaming with our friends at nearby Eagle Rock Ranch.
Dave and Jean Gottenborg and their daughter, Erin Michalski, take an innovative approach to ranching that’s setting new standards in transparency and quality. From building solar-powered drinkers to using a state-of-theart stocking facility to spearheading outside-
the-box methods like lay-down fencing, Eagle Rock systematically pursues modern solutions to traditional challenges—and we can relate.
Dave had long been wondering why 21st century ranchers were still wearing 19th century clothing—slogging through the winters in heavy, bulky gear. “I cut out anything I thought was unnecessary from these old fabrics, threw it all on a scale, and discovered I was lugging around almost 20 extra pounds,” he explains. “No wonder I was so tired!”
“I knew there had to be a way to work lighter while still staying protected, and that’s when I teamed up with TRUEWERK ’s founder, Brian.”
The two spent some time on the ranch developing and testing new ideas and additions, and Dave immediately loved the upgrades—tailored specifically to the rigors of life on the ranch, and versatile enough for any outdoor jobs.
“There’s nothing unnecessary in these pieces,” says Dave. “I get all the essentials, and stay warm and protected. There’s nothing extra to weigh me down, and no bunched-up material to get hooked or snagged on my tractor or a fence. It’s everything I need, and nothing I don’t.”
