Growing up, kids might think the only thing that’s addictive are things like drugs and alcohol. However, there are other things much more addictive than that that are less harmful but still relevant. For example, video games can be very addictive. Some players take games too seriously and play them all day, every day, which can negatively affect their life.
Sometimes people get high tempers, physically hurt others, or break things just because they may lose a game. Being addicted to games can also affect your physical well-being and health. For instance, sitting in front of a computer or TV all day can lead to you gaining weight, poor hygiene, and even some mental instability.
Addiction can cost people money, time, family, and friends if it isn’t controlled. People should schedule out time when they wanna play the game and seek therapy to help them relax and stay calm when they lose. This will help them learn to play for fun and just enjoy the competition.
